Write to Honda if they can't solve it. Ask if one of their regional engineers can TD it. IIRC, one member here (I think Sourav who posted tappet adjustment photos) had a Unicorn 160 with this grinding vibration that happened somewhere upwards of 4000 rpm. Something like worn out/defective bush/springs in balancer gear, bad engine bearing or defective clutch outer guide can also cause vibration. You already know other common causes.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
You need to show them how at idle the entire handlebar vibrates (like in the video you posted here sometime back) while another Hornet from SVC wont have it. Make them TD your bike and compare with another Hornet.Originally posted by #bpk View Post

Night eye bulb? What's that... Is that will be adequate for highway night ride. Also does it consume more juice from bike battery?Originally posted by Bismaya View PostThe halogen version had decent version light throw. I've them in fog every now and then. Clear enough for me. Anyhow, I've had my friend fix Pilot/Aux lights anyway. They are always helpful to have. Coming to the 2018 version, the LEDs are most useless ones I've seen so far. Shame on Honda for giving such poor headlamps. Even the x-Blade which boasts having such a nice headlamp, doesn't give much good beam in foggy conditions. I suggest you get secondary aux lights fixed on your bike or install a NightEye bulb in your headlamp.
I badly need some good light throw for night rides, As the auxillary lamps which I fixed 3 months back gone faulty. [emoji57]

My bike is less than 2 years old and I have driven some 38k km.. look at the silencer portion.. so much rusted.. yes I drive along the sea but never thought Honda parts to be so much low standard..
One question why only that part is rusted but the rest of the pipe is fine?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Be prepared to spend 150% of showroom price for any new vehicle. Thanks to mandatory 5 years warranty.
I renewed my insurance from ICICI.
Vehicle age: 3 Years
Cost: 4092 for 2 years
20% off on no previous claim and 400 off on self driving fetal insurance (15Lakhs) only. That means, if any other person is driving and involved in fetal accident, then no claim for that person.Last edited by anoopkumar0; 01-19-2019, 04:54 PM.------------------

It's an aftermarket led, you need to make the electricals dc before installation.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostNight eye bulb? What's that... Is that will be adequate for highway night ride. Also does it consume more juice from bike battery?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Humid weather increases oxidation so rusting is normal. By your pic im guessing its rusting on the corner and may be there is oil leakage. My assumption is the oil drops on it while its hot and worsens your case.Originally posted by mac4rfree View PostMy bike is less than 2 years old and I have driven some 38k km.. look at the silencer portion.. so much rusted.. yes I drive along the sea but never thought Honda parts to be so much low standard..

What you can do is find the oil leakage point and fix it . May be the oil washer will do the trick. Secondly remove rust from silencer by sand paper and apply Silencer coating. Such as
MILESTOUCH - Silencer Coating Spray – Heat Resistance https://www.amazon.in/dp/B01DU139AS/..._kP0qCbAME9E56
I would recommend to spray on entire silencer. Its hectic but serves the purpose. This coats dampens heat resistance and smoothens the silencer sound. Not particularly great but efficient. If your using it in humid weather always then highly recommended.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
You should have tried the 2018 Hornet o ring chain sprocket which I am told by Honda ASC technician can be fitted on previous model of Hornets.Originally posted by FreeSpiritedBiker View PostHello guys,
After getting fed up of less pick up due to chain slack, I had decided to buy a new chain sprocket.
So two months ago, I installed Rolon's HBS 229 chain (12400Kms on ODO), which is specially made for Hornet.
Since then I clocked only 700kms and guess what, I've already tightened the chain two times.
And I will have to do it again, for the third time this week.
I don't think it is normal by any means if I have to tighten the chain three times within 700kms.
What am I supposed to do now?
Try one more chain socket?

The bent pipe becomes much hotter compared to other parts of the silencer/ exhaust system.Originally posted by mac4rfree View PostMy bike is less than 2 years old and I have driven some 38k km.. look at the silencer portion.. so much rusted.. yes I drive along the sea but never thought Honda parts to be so much low standard..

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I went to the ASC today with a friend to get some parts for his 2015 Hornet (Black). I was actually surprised that some parts are not available from the old models (non-AHO). Also, Honda seems to have discontinued selling the old non o-ring chain sprocket.[My Motorcycles]
