I've faced it time and again. Makes the front wheel all prone to accidental skids. Changing the brake oil has fixed the issue for me. I use DOT 3 from Bosch. The mech was worried that the major brake kit (springs) might need replacement. It wasn't the case though. Also, might want to check if your brake pads are worn out. Mine were changed at 22k and it's a good idea to clean the caliper while you are at it.

Go back to DOT 3 and see if you notice any difference. Get the caliper checked as well. Also, the disc might be worn out itself due to the use. Get that checked as well.

Guyzz suggest some powerful and quality auxillary lamps , that should be good enough for highway night rides... Price should be reasonable. Also it shouldn't consume high juice on bike battery...

Check your Fork for looseness and get it adjusted. If it's not your problem, then you have to check your Fork oil and cone set.

Get your fork cone sets checked (for wear out damages) or the forks itself. The SVC guys recommended the refill the fork oil at every 20k. Mine was last changed at 22k. Solved some braking issues so far.

                          Hi all,

I'm planning a get a bike this week (confused between Gixxer SF FI ABS and Hornet 160R ABS DLX).

                          1. Can someone point out the problems/issues present in the Hornet?
                          2. How is the seat comfort in each of these bikes?
                          3. How is the touring capability of the Hornet (300-400 km)?
                          4. Which has better headlights?

                          Thanks!

                            1. No kill switch. Chain gets loose way too often when compared to Gixxer, poor low end torque for city rides and all.
                            2. Hornet is a bit uncomfortable because of the stiffer suspension when compared to Gixxer. Also, Suzuki gives better cushioning IMO.
                            3. Touring is like a breeze. You can easily ride 300-400kms on highway without any issues. The seating position causes no issues. Suitable for tall riders too,
                            4. Suzuki wins here. The LED is absolutely shit on the Hornet. I liked the old one better. It's a shame that Honda is offering cheap options even after paying such a premium.

And the Hornet ABS DLX is single channel ABS with read disc, right? Zigwheels is listing it as dual channel.

                                1. Not that problematic.
                                2. Seat comfort is good but not better than Gixxer.
                                3. Easily do 500-600 kms with cruising speeds at 80-90 kmph wid pillion.
                                4. I'm not sure, but you can always upgrade Gixxer with high wattage as its DC electrical and can give better light than hornet But you can always fit auxiliary lights for hornet too.
