It automatically applies front brake when you apply rear brake
IMO it’s not good. I ended up locking the front wheel more than 5-6 times in gravel and wet roads. I ONLY use the front brakes now.( I knw front brakes have 80% stopping power)
Useful for beginners riding in the city (dry conditions)

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
CBS is really good on Scooters. I feel a lack of practicality for it on bike, especially on bad roads. Also, using ONLY FRONT BRAKES is not always a good idea. It's always recommended to apply rear brakes with it, even though front has 80% power. Why? This is to prevent any unbalanced force or torsion acting on the bike with respect to centre of gravity and make sure that the bike doesn't skid and fall under action of unbalanced forces.Originally posted by irfanlskr View PostCBS= Combi braking system.

Wat about ABS patent...? Also ABS is the most effective one I think, though I don't have one in my bike.. [emoji14]Originally posted by #bpk View PostYes CBS by Honda

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
ABS is a technology and it doesn't have any specific name for a definite automotive manufacturer to patent. It's not limited to a single company. Everyone can develop their own technology or use pre-made ones by licensing them from a 3rd party.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostWat about ABS patent...? ABS is a general safety feature. No automobile company has patent for ABS. BOSCH company makes most of the abs systems, i think they have patent for abs. Honda has patent for CABS present in cbr , which's nothing but abs with cbs.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostWat about ABS patent...? Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Yes, the C-ABS is an Combined ABS takes the best of both worlds (cbs, abs), and applies for the safest, most technologically advanced stopping power available in market.. (atleast Indian market)...Originally posted by #bpk View PostABS is a general safety feature. No automobile company has patent for ABS. Seems, Honda's vision is always a step ahead on the safety features for its vehicles...

IMO hornet has better bite than all 160cc segment bike. I have tested all brakes.Originally posted by Bismaya View PostOnly if the bite from the brakes on Hornet and xBlade were as good as the Bybres on Gixxer, FZs and Apache 160 4v (TVS's own brakes).

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
CBS is for those who relies on rear brake only IMHO. It is not that powerful compared to both rear and front brake simultaneous application for obvious reasons. In CBS the front brake appears to be actuated by single piston (correct me if I'm wrong). It seems to be of no use to riders who are used to application of both front and rear brakes(like me). In my case I get less top speed as the front wheel is not that free.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostBy the way, is cbs really powerful than normal disc brakes...?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hello guys...
I am facing a problem with fuel meter.. may be a problem of float.
From last time while fueling my engine the meter is showing 1 mark less (total 5 out of 6) than full after refueling it to full tank..
Otherwise it is okay.. it is functioning well otherwise

Those bars are not correctly proportioned. First/second bar goes out very quickly. The last bar serves as long as top two bars.Originally posted by sen_mohor View PostHello guys...

To previous posts:
CBS: When your apply rear break it try to apply it on front break too.
As single rider, you are applying rear break and front break. The amount of load on front is more that what you put. Making front break more prone to lock. Specially in low speeds. I would say, even on back break too as more load transfer to front, back break, too, gets lock easily.
However, with pillion, don't know CBS or not, I have jammed breaks sometimes never felt scary. Bike just stand still like rock.
This technology looks great on paper but in practicality, it just sucks. It just hard breaking. A slight misalignment results in skid.------------------
