[QUOTE=Bismaya;1361208]How much have you clocked on the ODO? Is your bike still in run in? I usually shift into 5th just at 5500 RPM and not an rev more. I don't rev the bike hard right before engaging a gear. If that's not the case, you might need to get your gearbox checked.

I asked this at Anapurna Motors, Cuttack about a week ago when I asked in the 160 4v thread about the ABS indicator. They're expecting it sometime between Feb and March so that the bike is ready before the ABS norms kick in on 1st April.[/QUOTE

Finally Honda is releasing xblade with ABS ...i guess Hornet's sale will start falling now. X blade has everything that hornet lacks except looks.

RushLane: Honda X-Blade ABS launch price Rs 87.7k - Rs 6k higher than non ABS.
2019 Honda CB Unicorn 150 ABS has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 78,800. It also gets much awaited tubeless tyres.

This will surely make the xBlade a more compelling offer in the segment and OTR is about 97k I believe (with ABS) and while the base variant of FZ-S and RTR 160 4v is about 95k, this vehicle surely has a good margin of short-lived success. It may surpass the Hornet sales for a period and just surprise us. You never know. Looks are always subjective.

WRT current market, it's a risky game. Better offerings are always going to emerge.

OT: I did a mileage test of the Hornet today, reserve to reserve. It returned me about 42kmpl in city, which isn't bad. I think smaller tire sizes could help in extracting more FE. Swapping the xBlade tires one can easily get more low-end torque and FE. Someone could try it maybe. Hell, I think the Unicorn 160 tyres will fit Hornet as well.

Yes, with harsh ride/frequent gear shift, you will get around 38 to 42 kmpl in city traffic... The main reason is hornet's lesser low end grunt, as a result we need to very frequently change gears in 'stop and go' traffic, which make a toll at FE...

But if you know , how to properly (smoothly) handle hornet..you can easily get 45 to 48 kmpl in city...

Mine is September 2016 CBS model and front wheel is not free revolving. It has slight resistance by way of brake pads slightly gripping the disc. Does any CBS owner have my experience? Is your model CBS and do you also share my experience, Gowthamh? I weigh 78 kg.

Nope, mine is not CBS model... I don't have such difficulty...

I've seen nothing but complications with people using the CBS Model. Damage coverage and parts are more expensive and the issue Anupam is having, I've found two to three other people facing the same as well. They need to take out the callipers and check for fluid supply levels. If the piston's keeping the fluid pressed for some reason, it'll cause the callipers to mildly grip the disk, thereby creating rotation resistance on wheels. Also, CBS robs you on braking feedback.

I will try to make the front disc free when the brake pads need to be changed, hopefully. But it seems easier said than done coz CBS is a complex system with three pistons calibrated for optimum stopping power when rear brake is applied.

Quite complicated and that too all the bikes will come with CBS in 2019, under 125cc. Hopefully the drum brake versions of CBS won't be so much of a hassle.
