Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Tappet adjustment and valve (clearance) adjustment - they both refer to the same process. Once you go for the O-ring chain sprocket kit, also change the sprocket coupling dampers/rubbers and make your mechanic re-grease the 3 bearings if not already done (2 in wheel and 1 in coupling).Originally posted by adityagaur51 View PostCan you explain the difference b/w tappet adjustment and valve adjustment ?
Next thing in major service would be to change my chain set ... 2 services prior there was a need for chain replacement but my trusted mechanic cut one link from the chain and made it a jugaad to run little longer.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Why not go for the 200 4V? It's front forks are beefier, has dual channel ABS, slipper clutch, 60/55W headlight.... if memory serves me right.Originally posted by #bpk View PostAshwin, if you go to tvs svc, kindly ask them when rtr 160 4v abs is coming.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
A few reasons what I think might be causing this:Originally posted by #bpk View PostI am facing throttle lag issue
1. Dust or water jamming the accelerator
2. Faulty cable
3. Improper fuel supply due to carb tuning
Hopefully it's one of the first two than the later. I've faced it on my Unicorn and opening up the accelerator grip and cleaning, plus lubing it usually helps.[My Motorcycles]

I don't see it doing any harm. I spray it on my cables and switch gear, so I don't see why you can't spray it on the throttle. Taking it out of the handlebar and cleaning it will do a better job though.Originally posted by #bpk View PostThanks, can i spray wd 40 in throttle[My Motorcycles]

Will be visiting the SVC soon.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
How much have you clocked on the ODO? Is your bike still in run in? I usually shift into 5th just at 5500 RPM and not an rev more. I don't rev the bike hard right before engaging a gear. If that's not the case, you might need to get your gearbox checked.Originally posted by irfanlskr View PostLags at a certain RPM range ( 3.5~4.5k i guess) @4/5th gear

I asked this at Anapurna Motors, Cuttack about a week ago when I asked in the 160 4v thread about the ABS indicator. They're expecting it sometime between Feb and March so that the bike is ready before the ABS norms kick in on 1st April.Originally posted by #bpk View PostAshwin, if you go to tvs svc, kindly ask them when rtr 160 4v abs is coming.[My Motorcycles]
