I honestly hope you're not shifting to final drive ASAP and cracking the throttle wide open on small roads to test the top speed.

Depending on load and the gear you're in it will take some time but ideally in 3rd gear you should be able to red-line without any issues.

If by chance there is a huge delay or resistance to accelerate then that could be due to a faulty vacuum piston, in which case you could simply get the whole carburetor replaced under warranty.

    Cheers,

Do your bike revs above 5k rpm in neutral.

Don't worry , now ride at 3to 4k rpm. After 1000 kilometers engine will rev freely. You'll be able to do 80 kmph in 6k rpm at 5 th gear easily.

Yes, i also hope so. Honda engines need at about 2000 kilometers to open up freely. Bajaj recommends 2000 kilometers of run in, whereas honda recommends only 500 kilometers, which is false wait till 2000 kilometers to complete run in procedure.

                    Anybody changed tyres ?
Planning to do so, as my rear tyre has got to many punchers and constant air leakage.
Thinking to replace with the same stock ones.
Just saw Masseter as well, any suggestion ?
Compared to MRF brand look for Ceat Zoom XL 140/70-17 which is same stock size

With my experience Ceat tyres are much grippy in both dry and wet compared to MRF, also Ceats are is a bit softer compared to MRF's.
Due to this bit softness Ceat will last 5000kms less when compared MRF's but are worth the money for the grip it offers.

Coming to punctures, it all depends on your luck and the roads, so both tyres will behave same on how many punctures it picks up.

Will consider CEAT Zoom also and then finalise.

What he said may not always be the case. The bike is currently in the run-in period like I told you before. The more you ride, the smoother and opened up the engine gets. It may take some time to get the engine opened up for higher cruising speeds. The 4k mark in the ideal point to cruise well and freely in each gear and shift at about 5k to 5.5k for best results. That's what I did with my friend's Hornet and my Unicorn 150. That's just how the Honda engines work.

                            Hi guys

I own 2016 model hornet, recently I noticed exaust pipe started rusting near the engine. Planning to paint it with heat resistant paint.

Bisny high heat resistant pain paint available on Amazon but they charge rs 150 for delivery.
I tried to search it offline in shops but didn't find it.

Does anyone know the paint shop in Hyderabad , for offline purchase?

                              Don't use engine flush.

They're one of those things that makes a lot of sense on paper but doesn't remotely perform as well in life.

Mine has no problem like this. She redlines in each gear if I want her to. Odo is at 596kms.
