I bought recently a cb shine for my dad and am owning a hornet (using for one year).. Thing is , in shine the pick up in low RPM is fantastic, Am just wondering why Honda didn't provided such a thing to hornet :/

Cleaned my chain after two month. This time I used Diesel.
After chain cleaning went for foam wash. I asked the guy to pressure wash sprocket.

Then I applied Motul chain lube.
Result: Chain is so smooth now
Diesel is amazing and cheap too. Better than 3M cleaner.

Also, I tried STP GST17200EN Moto Booster

I don't know if it's placebo effect. The pull in lower gear is improved, less grinding noise and smoother gear shift.
The booster might be in action but I got it to clean up the curb and valve, if any. My ODO is 21000.
Let see if I get smoothness in next refill.

                I don't think so.
Diesel is just little thicker version of Kerosene. However, Kerosene would clean better and evaporate very soon leaving solid dust behind.
IMO, chain cleaners are waste of money.

                1. Diesel/Kerosene spray well on chain and rub with toothbrush.
                2. Most of black dirt will fall of and rub the chain with cloth (Old tshirt)
                3. Use pressure wash on sprocket while rotating wheel.
                Cleaning job done.

Lower displacement resistance, a CT100/Platina Exhuastec variant can scare the pants of an unsuspecting rider due to the low end oomph!

Which is why on larger displacement machines you see multiple cylinder configurations, i.e rather than move 250cc single cylinder it takes much less resistance to fire and run two 125cc cylinders etc.

Actually I recently went to my hometown, I was using my hornet for 2 days. I rode most of the distance with pillion and to my surprise I got an impressive mileage of 56 kmpl.

Note : I used normal HP petrol and rode most of the distance below 50 kmph..

Seems if I rode without pillion , may I get nearly around 60kmpl.. seems the Honda claiming mileage is real when driving in low speeds..

So can I use 2018 model chain sprocket for my hornet (2017 model) in order to avoid frequent loosening of chain....?

Hello friends, am planning to buy honda hornet in Bangalore next month. Considering city traffic and usage of around 20-25 kms daily what model of hornet should i go with?? ABS DELUXE OR CBS will help and more sufficient ? since the driving will be city traffic bound with not much speed what model should i go with for daily usage of 20-25 kms usage? Please advise. Thanks. Please share your valuable experience !!!! Appreciate your time and help to narrow down

If budget permits go for ABS. anyway the difference isn't much. This way you'll somewhat future proof your bike too..2019 all newly releasing bikes must have ABS.
