Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Please share your experience on this forum. I am currently using Motul 7100 10W 40, which is not providing any noticeable difference as compared to the previous fully synthetic oils I had used(Throttle/Yamalube Sporty Premium) for around 500 km. Gearshifts are same far from smooth as before. Now I am concerned about the possible adverse effect of Ester on oil seals/seals as Motul 7100 is Ester based.Originally posted by #bpk View PostI've bought motul 3100 , 10w 30 will use it after some time.

Yes sir i will. I tested motul 5100, 10w 30 ( easter based ) oil on my brother's 30 k run super splendor and found out that engine refinement increases at high speeds ( 60 to 80 kmph range)Originally posted by Anupam Das View PostPlease share your experience on this forum. But the problem with 5100 is that the oil gets consumed to about 300 ml in just 3k kilometers of usage, after that i have developed negative impressions towards motul. I use mineral oil and change it at 2k kilometers. Mineral oil is working perfectly in my bike.
The video below explains the same that I've experienced with motul 5100.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
This is tank shroud/cover made of plastic/ABS material/fibre(as many name it). Real tank is inside or under the shrouds and is made of metal. You can minimise the damage by applying similar paint by brush yourself. Or get it repainted by professional. Or replace the panel/shroud. I would've exercised the first option.Originally posted by mac4rfree View PostStupid SVC guys messed up my tank.. Now paint is gone and I can see black tank.. Anything can be done..?

Hi guys,
Can some member from Delhi suggest a good mechanic who can perform the fork alignment menthod in this video:-
(the method which involves loosening of the front assembly and then pressing the front end a dozen times to straighten everything)
I think my forks are not parallel to each other and need to try this method but don't have the tools.Bajaj Pulsar 180 - 2007 to 2015

Crankcase ventilation.Originally posted by Ravii View PostWhat is the function of this pipe coming out from the engine....
The piston going up and down creates pressure variation within the crankcase, this port helps relieve it.
Also ejaculates excess oil that has had been filled.
The tube is connected to the AF Box to recirculate the blow-by, if you look close your AF Box would also have a drain port/tube, ideally its best to drain it every time you change oil.

After washing my bike, I saw that the rubber pipe from this part is disconnected. With the threat that water may have entered into it, and can it cause any impact to the engine, I am little bit worried.
I kept it disconnected whole night and not started the bike, Is everything all right?
I have now connected the rubber pipe to the part.

Not much of an issue, simply drain AF box using the drain tube/port.Originally posted by Ravii View PostThanks brother for your reply.

As for water entering engine, not much of an issue as idling your motor for a few minutes followed by riding at a slower pace would ensure that water evaporates and leaves the motor via the same breather port, else worst case scenario your oil would emulsify i.e turn caramel in color;
In which case you should change engine oil, though that is unlikely.

Does the metal pipe coming out of engine acts for inhale or exhale??
