Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
The 2018 owners say that their bikes doesn't have any kind of vibes, but i suspect them specially after riding 2 bikes , and revving one brand new bike in svc today. Strangely i didn't find any bothering vibes in either 160 4v or fz fi .Originally posted by gowthamh View PostSure, in the meanwhile you can ask the fello 2018 edition hornet users about the issue, who are part of xbhp

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I recently bought a 2018 abs version and I don't see any vibration issues so far. Odo is near 1km. I feel a bit of vibration around 60-70km just a tiny bit but it fades away quickly. I don't bother with it though.Originally posted by #bpk View PostYeah, observe paricularly in 3 to 4k rpm.

Your's probably 2nd batch production model. Because all the models i tested were of 1st production batch model.Originally posted by Ramhonda View PostI recently bought a 2018 abs version and I don't see any vibration issues so far. ...In continuation of above. A positive experience from ASC.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostTry once at Vaishnoi Honda, Kondpur. They have good mechanics but service is again not good. You need to talk to them.
There is Hormony Honda, BHEL neaby my place but they are also not careless.
See the experience shared from Vaishnoi Honda earlier
Matter of the fact, again I had to go Vaishnoi Honda for servicing. I asked them not to include any useless charges. Let's see in evening.
I believe, service centers only waterwash vehicles unless specifically asked what to do.
After servicing last Friday when I reached to ASC they didn't do servicing. I called up mechanics and then again shoot up the email to Honda and ASC directors. I got call from relationship manager and he ensure that servicing will be done properly.
On Friday, they serviced and also cleaned chain and lube as complementary.
Later I found there is jerk in handle on breaker and hard breaking. I called the manager and explained the problem.
Today, I visited the ASC. He gave me spare Activa to go office.Turned out, the cone set was busted. Mostly they tried to fix it but couldn't do it.
They fixed the cone set, re-threaded the nut (Silencer attached just below engine) and washed the bike again ALL FOR FREE (There was big rain a night before and bike was all muddy).
Here is the bill
<Pic not loading[emoji35] >
Things looks good now. I hope next visit will be after 6 month for servicing. [emoji3]
Bike completed 3 years/24,000Km. So, far zero issues.
If you visit Vaishnoi Honda, Kondapur, Hyd. Meet Charan. He seems courteous guy, at least listen to customers.Last edited by anoopkumar0; 01-28-2019, 11:30 PM.------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
You may try Motul 7100 10W40 fully synthetic engine oil. The reviews at Amazon are positive. I have already purchased it but yet to use/fill it. What I have read about your bike is quite surprising. Also my 2016 Hornet is not as smooth as the 2005 Unicorn I owned. I was surprised when I hit 75 kmph in top gear for the first time(after more than 2500km run in) on my Hornet due to roughness of the engine compared to my older Unicorn(which was way too smooth). But the engine is somewhat smoother at that speed now.Originally posted by #bpk View PostVIBRATION ISSUE UPDATE
So, today i visited honda svc regarding the engine vibrations, first of all, honda head technician didn't considered it as vibrations, he said that it's quite common in new honda motorcycles. I disagreed with him, and told him to provide me a test ride vehicle from a customer ( not official honda test ride bike). That bike had 6000 kilometers on the odo, to my surprise it had even more terrible vibes in 3 to 4k rpm than mine! Even on footpegs the vibrations were high. Just now, i rode a 9600 kilometers run 2018 hornet, and it had terrible vibrations than that previous motorcycle, the owner was frustrated on owning hornet and even he is planning to sell it asap. Conclusion: vibrations in hornet is directly proportional to the amount of kilometers clocked. I know, you may think that i am a lunatic, to the proof of which, i will confirm it by my senior xbhpian mr. Anupam Das. Bye.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hello fellow Hornet owners. Based on the quick study i switched to synthetic oil recently after clocking 20k kms and loving the NVH so far. On a second note, Recently my bike has started to show an erratic behaviour.
My steering handle starts wobbling as I climb around speeds of 65kmph and continues till 90kmph and then it stops.
What might be causing these immense wobbles? Worn front tyre? If anyone can help then it would be appreciated. Thanks

Coming to the wobbling issue, it could be an issue with the coneset. Could also be worn tyre as you said. Inspect the tyre for uneven wear. If not, it is most probably the coneset issue.

Yesterday I completed 7k kms on odo. I had also complained about vibration issues at around 3000kms. As suggested i changed oil to throttle FS between 1st and second service. And vibes were almost gone. I don’t know how does it relates to this particular issues.
Till now I haven’t faced any kind of abnormal vibrations/rattling not even on footpeg. Yesterday i went on a highway drive of ~200kms. Till 80km/hr i felt no rattling.Honda guys are not so keen on solving the issues. Most of the time they assume it to be normal. You can hardly find any of enthusiastic mechanic around their workshop who can even deal with minor problems.

Till 80kmph? I can easily say, a proper hornet 160 cruises smoothly till the range of 100 to 110kmphOriginally posted by Rohit3235 View PostHello.
