Will the burn marks affect the lighting in any way?

If not in warranty you can go go for 50W, Hornet has 5amp battery which will support the extra load, but max damage you would see is few burnt marks on the headlight reflectors.

I have a suzuki gixxer which had pathetic stock headlight. So after 2 months of ownership switched to a 55/60 osram normal bulb. Got it for ₹ 100 from a local shop. Stock battery lasted more than 4 years which was an amco made. Now the bike have completed 5 years. Osram still working strong. also completed long night rides of 700 with this one.I will attach the image of my headlight. Then you can decide.

I own a Gixxer too, except mine is 2017 and has AHO on it. Now, you're saying a few burn marks with a non aho model, I wonder what'll happen if it's a AHO model. I was also looking at the same osram as the OP, but I now I don't know.
Anybody you know has an AHO and uses this headlight?(as an upgrade)

Yes, 5mAh battery is pretty great. Working like new even after 4 years.
If OP has doubt, I will suggest go for 40/45w Osram Rallye Hyper 40/45W or Cool Blue version. You should find it in local market. Much better than stock.

While almost every bike manufacturer is providing bs6 version of premium bikes, why is Honda sleeping?? The current portfolio of bikes is also not interesting anymore.

They are on it I believe, they launched:
                    1) All new 6G Activa 110 which copied all of Jupiter's major features which was missing all these years from last 6years (Telescopic suspension, 12inch tyre, External fuel filler, Bigger floor board) which took them so long to copy it.
                    2) Launched 125 Activa BS6
                    3) Launched Shine SP BS6
                    4) They are going to start local production of CB300R soon by this mid-year
                    5) There are rumors about Honda working on 200cc BS6 bike based on Hornet platform, just like Gixxer 150/250 there will a Hornet 160/200 which will share similar looks.
                    6) There are also rumors of Honda bringing back a full faired version of CB300R to replace soon to be dead legendary CBR250R finally after 10+years

And finally their main interest is in milking the Activa owners which they will continue to do so, going by that I dont see any new in the pipeline.

Yes..but nothing usable right now or in the near future.

KTM has made some amazing launches. [emoji108] looking at the recent adventure 390 and Himalayan I feel like upgrading to such comfortable bikes [emoji28].
Riding for about 2 hours (even less) at a stretch in my hornet.. I am forced to take a break because of the saddle sore I get.

True, Bajaj/KTM is killing the game Electric Chetak, Dominar 250, KTM Duke 390 Adv, Duke 790, BS6 390 with quickshifter, upcoming Husqvarna brand 401 and 250, Baja tie-up with Triumph etc etc.

Honda needs to up their game than just being content with selling Activa, Shine and Unicorns. Go electric, launch some big bikes and some twin-cylinder bikes.
