I checked the battery dimensions and it is as follows. Length = 11.3 cm, Height = 10.5 cm, Width = 7.0 cm. The battery compartment is packed with the standard battery (be it the stock Exide ETZ-5 or the new Amaron AP-BTZ5L) as the dimensions are pretty much the same for battery compartment also. So even if you want to upgrade the battery, the dimensions should not be larger in respective directions as even a 5 millimetre increase will be a problem. Most of the listed 4 Ah batteries on an internet search share the same dimensions and 6 Ah batteries have the dimension 11.3 * 7.0 * 13.0 cm (more height). I don't know if this pattern is standard.
Congratulations Anupam. I hope the Hornet will share the garage with the new beast for a long time.Originally posted by Anupam Das View PostYesterday, I gifted myself a new Yamaha FZ25 Monster Energy/Moto GP Edition.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Pickup is a wide field of discussion TBH. It depends on how good has your engine broken during the run in. 3500 is still early if you ask me and I think the Hornet engine starts showing it's true character post 5000-6000kms. Using a Iridium won't get you instant results but more efficient delivery of power (smooth) and good cranking. I've observed that using an Iridium gives a better chance of cranking engine at places where you would usually require choke for cold starts and all. It's nothing major to try where you are. So, just stick to the stock plug for now.Originally posted by OneandonlySunny View Posti want to change my spark plug to NGK Iridium IX CR8EIX to my Honda Hornet 160r
bike running 3500 KM , would i get more ready pickup ?
what should i do at low cost to get some more ready pickup ?
kindly tell me , thanks.
Also: there is no shortcut for gaining more pickup in low cost. Ride the bike as it is. It's quite powerful in stock state.Last edited by Bismaya; 03-28-2020, 01:04 AM.[My Motorcycles]

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Don't waste your money on iridum plugs, no matter which brand. it makes literally less then 1-3% difference in power figures that too when power cable is used. all you will get is placebo performance increase. no difference in mileage either. only noticeable improvements are better idling and long life/ service interval (on FI engine or if your carb is perfectly tuned). if you want more performance you can get it by changing front/back sprockets depending on what your requirements (acceleration or top speed) are.Fz25 2018 (ABS retrofitted)

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Thanks ashwanth.r! Till now, I have ridden my FZ for only 5 metres in our compound. A showroom boy delivered the FZ at my home following me/my Hornet for 14.3 km. On 24-03-20 afternoon Uber, Ola or Rapido were not easily available in Guwahati due to the impending 7 day Assam lockdown from 6 pm and the showroom was closing after 4 pm. This is the most hurried important purchase in my life. Now I start the FZ once in two days (for obvious reasons).Originally posted by ashwanth.r View PostCongrats Anupam! Even though the temptation to ride the new one will be there, stay safe and comply with the lockdown

Not tested for a long time. I am very happy about it's mid range punch, reaches 100 kmph very easily. Engine has become even smoother. After riding other bikes when i ride Hornet i feel night and day difference. Also I've figured out a way to make ride quality comfortable .Originally posted by Anupam Das View PostThanks! How fast can your Hornet go?

Good quality foam padding on the seats along with lower tyre pressure of 23R and 29R. Also suspension is at the softest position.Originally posted by OneandonlySunny View Postnice , whats the way to make hornet riding quality very comfortable ?
