I have a question if you can help me out. I want to replace the gear shifter from toe only to heel and toe so that I can save my shoes since I only ride the motorcycle to go to work on the dusty roads and full of potholes of Kathmandu.

Has anyone performed this modification, if you have which other motorcycle's heel and toe shifter did you use?

      Thank again.

Yes, after riding it for 4.0 km over kind of rough roads, the suspension was found way more compliant than Hornet. Jolts are not felt like Hornet.

@bpk This may also be the reason why FZ outsells Hornet.

Told you so. Also, the brakes will feel much better after they are bed in during 500-600kms of running.

No, because there is no other bike in HMSI that uses a slipper clutch and this engine.

Other guys are able to do it because some other rebadged version of the same engine will have a slipper clutch option.

Honda has disappointed. No news about upgradation of Hornet 160R!

Ahead of Honda CBF 190 R launch in India, the motorcycle has been officially patented by the company. It will take on the likes of KTM Duke 200.

Am expecting a big surprise - something like the engine of a 160R in the bodywork of 190R. Even if they launch CB190R as such, it remains to be seen whether it will retain stuff like the upside down forks. See latest version 190R's videos on Youtube. It looks really nice.

I think Honda will follow the same strategy as xtreme 200 R, more displacement for same money. Look closely at the engine both 160R and 190R have similar construction. I think 190R is rebored 160R. Indian model if launched will come with telescopic forks. The CB 190 adv with 19bhp of power makes a good sense for india IMHO. It should replace Hornet . In this way Honda could achieve what xpulse has failed to do. More performance than xpulse with added convenience of tubeless tyres.

Imagine 3 touring focussed adv's in india, frim CB 190 adv, G310GS and 390 adv. If honda makes atleast 22 bhp and 22 nm of torque it would be amazing.

The 190R and 160R engines belong to the same family. In 190R, you can notice a metal pipe near the engine-chassis bracket. It carries oil from bottom-end to head. This tube is present in the patent pictures.

Old model CB190R has the silencer that runs very low:

Newer 2019 model has gear position, illuminated switches and silencer like Hornet 160R (under engine + side can). Mounting points for the pillion footpeg is changed. Pillion footpeg assembly is not welded to chassis like the 160. Fortunately, it is the newer model in the patents.
