Sure dude...Originally posted by #bpk View PostShare your experience after sometime [emoji106]
Done with service yesterday @ 25995km.
Changed chain sprocket
Changed air filter
Switched to motul 7100 10w 40
Post service, bike is running as hell as smooth. Unfortunately can't open throttle beyond 60kmph due to traffic. Improved torque in second gear.
Will share my further observations in 2,3 weeks.

Clean with petrol.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostUse strong detergent to clean the rotor and sand the brake pads a bit.
But if you lack the time for that, just overheat the pads, drag them and ride for quite a bit and your bit would progressively return, this is not recommended but gets the job done.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Completed 30K in 3 Years and 10 months.
So far so good, no major issue and no breakdown. It's been great ride experience with Hornet
Upgrade modifications so far, apart from stock parts:
1. Tyres: Michelin Pilot Street
2. Spark Plug: NGK Spark Plugs CPR8EAIX-9
3. Headlamp: P8 Xenon HID - apparently not available in market. I found it some corner shop. For the comparison better than Activa
I though NGK Spark Plugs CPR8EAIX-9 is placebo effect. But after using it for a month. I can say, this spark plug is awesome.
- Power deliver is smoother
- Improvement in vibration
- Quick startup and smooth engine sound on idle
- Throttle response is so consistent.
- Engine fires up in first attempt like it is always ready to roll even in cold morning.
First issue with my machine:
Horn button is stopped working. I tried spraying WD 40 but no help. Once in while, horn sound but otherwise button won't work.
Any suggestion to fix it at home before visit to ASC !Last edited by anoopkumar0; 11-22-2019, 11:15 PM.------------------

Did you check the wiring? My Unicorn had this issue and the SVC guys suggested that I changed the horn. But a local mech took Rs 10 and check the wiring. It wasn't in proper contact with the horn (ends). That fixed it for me.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View Post

Yeah.. Will visit local mechanic. The connection looks intact. But the it's in very odd place to remove and plug back.Originally posted by Bismaya View PostDid you check the wiring? Went to a local mechanic. Connection was fine. HE tapped on horn , and it sounded. He tapped a hammer a few times and all good. [emoji38][emoji38].
He refused to tell the secret of this sorcery, but didn't charge any money. [emoji41]------------------

Visit JSP Honda at Y Junction and ask that person who issues your Job card to assign your bike to S.Rakesh(Mechanic), He is good and treats my Hornet as his own.
Ofcourse don't forget to Tip him
.
Ride Safe.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hi guys !! A strange thing is happening with my bike. When i switch on the ignition key, there is no flow of current in my bike. My meter console remains off, so does all the lights. I decided to fix the problem and removed the head of the bike by myself. I found that the wire coming from the ignition assembly is a little loose, so, I fixed it. But the same problem persists. As soon as I use the kickstarter the current comes back and the meter starts working but a kit-kit sound comes for 2-3 seconds from the console and then sound goes off. While the bike is running, everything remains normal but as soon as I put the ignition key off and on again, no current flows. I am running on stock battery setup( which is 3 years old ).
What might be the problem,
1.) Battery or,
2.) Ignition assembly or,
3.) Meter console
Please help me on this. Thanks
