Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
50% off? Not a chance. I think the discounts will go as far as the festive ones. Nothing beyond that. The Unicorn 160 I saw was a AHO Model BTW. A 2018 model and rather decent import.Originally posted by Zapps View PostIf that's the case, then our brother getting an old batch bike should get something like 50% off on the base price.[My Motorcycles]

From your posts..I think your ODO is still less.Originally posted by #bpk View PostNo, i haven't rode one, except mine but still even super splendor doesn't vibrates at 3.5k rpm, and why a 1.10 lakhs rupees bike vibrates? Is honda crazy or my motorcycle is defective [emoji23][emoji23][emoji22][emoji22]
For Most of us with 10K+, it gets smoother till 6-8K.
Interval between 1st and 2nd service is high and oil may have got bad.
I had felt roughness during 3-5K ODO, but started running on high RPM and it gets all smooth.
Hornet, Dec 2015, launched with BS4 engine but not certified, as they didn't have AHO.
I also don't have AHO.------------------

Yes, my odo is 2045 kilometers, I've changed oil in 1600 kilometers, today for the 1st time i clocked 94 kmph, and it didn't felt stressed, and after 5k rpm bike became mad, it just keeps on pulling and pulling [emoji16][emoji16] , and when i took a turn in 90 kmph bike just glued to the road, high speed stability is just awesome [emoji8][emoji8] , if engine becomes smooth, then i will be grateful to god [emoji7]Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostFrom your posts..I think your ODO is still less.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Wait until the second service and then pour in Throttle 10w30 or any other semi or fully synthetic engine oil for that matter. It will reduce the vibrations and heating substantially.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostEngine overheat - am not facing much
Head light - their glow is very poor, I recommend installing auxillary lamps
Gear struck - usually am facing false neutral , sometimes confusion happens in between first, neutral and second., Hardly I face gear struck ( simply accelerate a bit , it has to get release), lube chains periodically for smooth ride... Ensure chain is not over tight/loose...

I don't see such kind of hole system in Honda Shine 2007 model bike. Please advice where can I find this hole in that particular model bike. Thanks.Originally posted by ashwanth.r View PostThe fuel tank lid (the cap we open by putting the key in for refuelling) will have 2 holes.

See how many times I have told this.Originally posted by #bpk View PostYes, my odo is 2045 kilometers, I've changed oil in 1600 kilometers, today for the 1st time i clocked 94 kmph, and it didn't felt stressed, and after 5k rpm bike became mad, it just keeps on pulling and pulling [emoji16][emoji16] , and when i took a turn in 90 kmph bike just glued to the road, high speed stability is just awesome [emoji8][emoji8] , if engine becomes smooth, then i will be grateful to god [emoji7]
4th gear after 6K RPM is bliss. It's orgasmic for Hornet.
Get checked from ASC for usual vibrations otherwise your machine seems good. Otherwise achieving 94 would shake your like tuning fork.
Sometimes in no traffic, I speed till 85 in 4th gear while office commute.
One thing I notice, each of Pulsar, Enfield people start racing when I pass them. Other day, Dominate guy keep going ahead and making gesture to race.
Other day on highway a RE, guy was going 55, when I overtook at 75, it's like I kicked his big EGO ball and he overtook me quickly.
I was like WTF man, enjoy your ride, you guys have beautiful machines and squid like scoots.------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I think you r right.. cause, i am getting milege of around 50+ even while reving at 65to 80 kmph...Originally posted by ayrus View PostIdeally, an engine should start with no choke or throttle input. It is okay if it requires choke or slight throttle input (not more than 3k rpm) and should stay at idle without any inputs. If it stalls after staring, it is running a bit lean.
Idle rpm after the engine gets heated up will be ~500 rpm higher than the cold idle in case of carbed engines. But if the idle stays a bit high and comes down to a lower idle rpm, it is a sign of running a bit lean.

Go and get your carb tuned properly from the SVC or a good mechanic. Or if you are ready to try your hand at it, mark the current tuning of the carb and make it rich by a quarter turn (90°) and see if things improve.Originally posted by sen_mohor View PostI think you r right.. cause, i am getting milege of around 50+ even while reving at 65to 80 kmph...

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Ideally, you must've tested it on a Hornet. As I've said earlier, the Hornet I rode had some vibrations throughout the rev range but it was nothing bothersome. It is most probably the character of the bike.Originally posted by #bpk View PostHi guys, today at honda svc , i did vibration test on a 860km run xblade, it had the same amount of vibration as my hornet, only slightly less, is it the characterstics of this bike.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I've heard that xblade has more refined engine than hornet, so i wanted to feel it's smoothness compared to hornet, and it's not so refined either [emoji23][emoji23]Originally posted by ayrus View PostIdeally, you must've tested it on a Hornet.
