Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hello guys,
My bike completed 3390kms in 3 months. Next service due is 6k kms.
Does mineral oil which was changed at 1st service interval last till 6k kms?
Or i need to change in between 3k-3.5k kms?
How good is full synthetic. engine oil in terms of:
1.Fuel consumption
2.Gear shifting
3.engine Smoothness at higher RPM
4.cold starts
Do tell me about Honda throttle as well.
Thank you keep revving [emoji868]

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Yes, mineral oil will last until next Service, that is 6K kms. However switching to Honda Throttle is a best thing you could do to your engine and gear box as it definitely increases the lubrications properties. Please go ahead and switch to Throttle. I’ve been using it since second service. My fourth service is due in Dec2018. And will stick to Throttle for rest of the life time of the bikeOriginally posted by Rohit3235 View PostHello guys,

As earlier i asked Mechanic & Service adviser at ASC.They told me Honda throttle can only be used in CBr model ( bikes with radiator ).
As i was using old honda dio and shifted to geared vehicle few months ago so a complete noob at it [emoji28]Last edited by Rohit3235; 10-22-2018, 06:39 PM.

Is your suspension a bit too stiff and that you ride a bit too much on bad roads?Originally posted by Venuinturi View PostAnybody replaced their rear suspension, I was told by yhr service guy that my suspension was damaged. Rode just 24k kms. This was observed due to some sound from the rear.[My Motorcycles]

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I couldn't find much difference since the time I've bought the bike. Neither so stiff nor too smooth. I've been observing some weird sound from behind when I drive it through potholes. When taken to svc, they Said its because od suspension. And I mostly avoid going off road.Originally posted by Bismaya View PostIs your suspension a bit too stiff and that you ride a bit too much on bad roads?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
1st servicing should be at 1000Km , so you are suggesting mineral oil replacement in 5K? This much higher interval.Originally posted by DigantRai View PostYes, mineral oil will last until next Service, that is 6K kms
Mineral oil goes bad after 3000 Km.
Check your oil level and viscosity if oil needs to change.Originally posted by Rohit3235 View PostHello guys,

This is the standard response mechanic gives. Please insist them to use Throttle. Btw they don’t even know it’s called Throttle. They refer to it as “CBR oil”Originally posted by Rohit3235 View PostThanking you for your kind attention towards my query. [emoji1303]

Mineral oil should easily lasting for 6K kms. And Throttle (fully Synthetic) will last upto 10K kms. However I would prefer changing Throttle every 6K kms (service interval)Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View Post1st servicing should be at 1000Km , so you are suggesting mineral oil replacement in 5K? Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
What is the tire pressure you maintain. Do not over inflate the tyre. Rear tire should be 30 maximum (29 per manual with pillion rider). When you over inflate, it will directly impact suspension wear out as well as lack of road grip.Originally posted by Venuinturi View PostSound like when some parts got loosened.
