what do you mean by "You will lose some top end though".
I am putting a small section rear tyre, still i will loose top end ?
I have to travel a lot as i have two or more projects "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan", building toilets at Villages. most of them don't have proper roads.
The stock tyre has so much weight that it robs the performance of the bike.
You won’t loose much at Top end.
Try to buy tire with bigger second number. In a 130/60 or 130/70 or 130/80 tires, try to pick the highest second number product. It’s 130/80.

If you can buy 130/80, you won’t lose any top end. But not sure such tire availability.

So i wanted to upgrade front brake . I have ordered a steel braided line for front brake . But also i am looking for other feasible options like changing fluid master cylinder ( can anybody help me with that ) . What will be the cost and of what bike should i use ?
Also can i upgrade disc size (Honda ones are connected to via 5 screw to the wheel hub) ?
Can someone please enlighten me ???
Is your Hornet CBS or Drum version? Steel braided line can be fitted, no issues - just make sure it is of sufficient length.

Guys please watch this video i had same issue

even when in neutral bike stopping like this ,
some times gear is slipping , i have to move bike a bit front or back then gear is working.
some times while in 30-40 i am completely disengaging engine by clutch and down shifting to 1st gear and i think clutch still rubbing something and making sound like krrr krr like it was rubbing to some rotating part , i am not giving any acceleration through,
and when i turn my handle complete right engage between clutch and engine going off like it's in neutral but not getting any movement , this was happen after my bike fell down but service center guy tole me nothing is there

                  Guys...Need to ask one question.

I ride daily almost 16 Kms in bumper to bumper traffic to reach office.

The gala besides our parking lot is doing spray painting and the color is everywhere which is a concern as it sticks on the bike.

I want to know wether i can put the bike cover immediately after reaching office or i need to wait till the engine cools down. The reason is by the time i reach offoice they start the work hence cannot wait till the engine becomes cold.

i put cover as soon i reach office. my cover is little bit short, does not cover the tyres much so the engine heat can dissipate quickly.

Thanks Boss for the reply... Same here . Actually i have my Yamaha gladiator cover which i use it to cover in office. The cover which i got with hornet a few days back will be used later.

At home, I don't keep it covered.

I am not bothered about SMK, its a good brand.

DOT is a joke specially in India, dont ride the bandwagon. Compared to ECE 22.05, DOT means nothing.

Also how can you vouch for both the helmets? Did you crash test both the helmets? Or did you have a crash while wearing either helmets?

Also why wear a different helmet in city and different for highway and "speed runs"? Do you think the risk to your life is less in cities and more on Highways?

Can I vouch for MT helmets? No I cant. BUT out of the 14 helmets that MT manufactures excluding the Kids helmets and offroad helmets, 6 of them are SHARP rated. That is more than enough for me to trust MT and call it reliable.

SMK has 10 helmet models that it manufactures non of which are SHARP rated. Doesnt matter how expensive they are. Just because a helmet is expensive doesnt mean they are good.

Thank guys for your suggestions. I met with an accident few weeks back. A suv hit me from behind and subsequently I fell. I got many abrasions all over face and a minor undisplaced fracture on my head and a tmj on my left jaw. I was lucky I was alive. It took me 3 weeks to heal and continue working. At the time if accident I was wearing Studds Shifter helmet which is DOT certified, although the helmet saved my life and reduced injuries alot I have the feeling a more better helmet could have reduced my injuries.

Oh, that seems quite serious accident. Did SUV driver help you after that or he ran away. I hope you have filed FIR. Take care buddy!
