T-log is fantastic and inspiring. Ask them to return the old panel and keep it so that you can salvage the other button if required. Do you use those buttons often?

HMSI should take note of this and make the buttons available as a spare.

My daily ride is not more than 15kms.
I do the bike servicing after every two or three months.

Is there any permanent solution to this problem ?

All hornets have this issue. even if one disagree with me its a fact.

Went for 3rd service & asked them to replace this crappy chain. It costs 2.3k.

Even service center guys are fed up with my chain issue. I m always bothering them with this.

Even they are accepting it is having a low quality chain n spoket.

I'm having this feeling that this motorcycle has a very low acceleration. More and more vehicles overtake me with ease. It's as if this bike struggles to pull itself at low speeds.

What RPM are you changing gears?

Try changing gear at 5k rpm after 2nd gear.

I change usually at 4.5k, beyond which I can feel slight vibrations.

5k feels too noisy and less smooth for me.

No, it is not that slow. But if you compare it with other much quicker bikes you may feel as you have felt now. Change your riding style to extract more performance which you will definitely get.

Oh dear. This is not a unicorn which you can cruise at 4k rpm; it's a street fighter. Revv her up! All Honda sports bikes wake up only after 6000 rpm. You have to change the way you approach riding...

Believe me, the first time I took a pillion to the Ghats on my cbr250, I was disappointed with the lack of power. The bike wouldn't even pull at second gear at 25 kmph! Or third at 35 kmph. After reading a while on xbhp, and the owners manual, I realised that it's torture for these bikes to ride them at low rpm. So I changed my riding style to ensure the bike stays happy, changing gears at 7000 rpm in the hills. And life became so much fun.

I'm considering fz and apache and even splendor.

Really? I don't know, the accelerator feels sluggish and it feels like the bike is dragging some serious dead weight behind it. And Oh god the oil smell at high rpms....smells like cancer.

FZ & Apache make sense but Splendor?

You should know this bike is different from other in this category, you wont get much torque at lower rpm, you have to revv hard as other suggested. I felt same after buying hornet but after experimenting with throttle at different rpms i changed my riding style and ride with ease without changing gears frequently. If you want to overtake be in higher rpm zone at appropriate gears and if you are at signal put 2nd gear and be in 4000-5000 rpm. Do some experiement yourself with power in different gear ratio. I am sure this bike will not disappoint you.

Don't afraid of noise ay high rpm. It's will get settle up with time.
To get full potential you have to do this. After sometime that loud noise become bassy as in good sense.

I have been practicing 6k rpm change for quick speed gain. Also, I am now able to do clutch less upshift. Feels so awesome. [emoji41]
