        Switches are really cheap.
These days pass light and start button misses to fire on first, in 2/10 attempts.
        Anyone facing this?

I am using Honda Throttle and it works very well.
I have earlier used Motul 300v once but it too much overdone.

Current fill is going close to 4000 odo. No sign of harshness or any unusual grunt.
For sure it can go 6k.

That's good to know! Can it last 1 year if bikes doesn't run much, let's say less than 4k?

                      Yeah, sure.
Another of my bike Hunk is almost idle and I only run after 2-3 weeks. It rides like a regular.
Only thing is, when you start bike after long period leave it on idle for a few min (with choke if required ) till it get fully warmed up.

Great! I'll do it soon. Mineral oil goes bad after few months even if bike doesn't run much.

2 Years and 27,000 km with HORNET 160
As a biker my first vehicle was my bro's Bajaj 4S, we rode it for more than 3.5 Lakhs km .... engine rebuild done for 2 times... but mileage was around 65 Km/pl. sold for upgrading to 150cc. After 10 yrs we have an opportunity to grab Pulsar 150 , first batch vehicle . Another Pulsar 150 DTSI in 2004. First Pulsar sold in 2007. Pulsar 150 DTSI sold in 2015 after 12 yrs service and 1,30,000 Km.. Condition of vehicle was good, except some CD ignition coil related starting problem. Finally it was decided to end the relationship with Bajaj products and move on to Honda.
On 23rd Dec 2015 I became first owner of Black Honda Hornet 160R CBS in Kerala.... vehicle delivered from EVM Honda Kochi at a launching ceremony. Routine services done at Honda ASC (EVM Kakkanad Kochi) at 1000 Km & 6000 KM. Two new "Roots Vibro mini Horns " added with" Roots relay ". Vibro Mini -MRP Rs. 924 + 2 Led pilot lamp (Rs. 100 for pair ).Bought relay @ Rs 150/-. Labour, wire & clips cost another Rs.250/-.
Added a new sari guard step into my Hornet, purchased from Yamaha dealer in PALA ,Kottayam Dist. Kerala.... cost Rs.450/-. 12,000 km service also done without any issue.
18,000 km service done at EVM Honda ,Kakkanad , Kochi. Air filter (Rs.134), Spark Plug (Rs.139); Engine Oil (Rs.294) changed. Annual Maintenance Contract for 1 year (Rs735) purchased and included in this service as 1 st service under AMC. Total cost for Service, spares and AMC only Rs.1376.
Front tyre changed at 18,000 km ( MRF stock tyre) and back tyre changed to CEAT Zoom XL 140-70/70 at 20,000 km. Chain and sprocket changed at 20,000 km @ Rs.1410/- including labour and GST.
During the whole 2 year I faced only one problem with my bike… indicator relay. New relay costs around Rs.100/-.
At 26,000 Km front brake (Combo) pad changed @ Rs.990/-
On 23.12.2017 my Hornet has completed 27,000 km and 2 years.
I am getting average millage of 50km/ Ltr on every ride. My average speed is around 60km/hr and roads were both city and rural. Even a single puncture did not disturb during the 27,000 km. But in comparison my Pulsar gave me many headaches in the first 27,000 kms. Battery and electrical related issues, clutch cable replacement in every 15,000 km, accelerator cable replacement @ every 25,000 km, cone set adjustment & replacement , chain and sprocket issues, back suspension issues etc . were common .But no such issues with Hornet.
My longest ride was through high range region in Idukki (Kerala)….250 km very comfortable. Daily commuting of 100 km from my home to office is also comfortable.
