I just removed the suction cover from top not the whole cover and boy it sounds amazing...

This is the suction cover i am referring to...
My question is there any harm in doing so...???
Will it damage the engine...??? Do i need to make changes to carbeurattor .....
I won't mind change in mileage or changing air filter soon....
Btw the throttle becomes more free and the revs climb more easily...
Also i feel the torque slightly increased...
in my opinion. don't do it, i had done it few weeks ago in dec
my mileage dropped by 5 kmpl and engine heating was significant
throttle may work crisp but i dont recommend it. there is a better solution
buy a good company muffler (Exhaust. Only the exhaust not the total system) and weld it (dont remove the Catalytic converter)
and try to change filter every 6000 kms.. if u stay in a windy / dusty/ dry/ coastal areas ( i stay in Jharkhand, lots of dust gust debris fly)
for city 8000 kms is ok...

When I tried it on my unicorn 160, I felt the same. But my mileage increased - because the SVC mechanics had tuned the AFR to be rich.

If you're doing this, you may need to tune the carb.

If you are planning alone get Claw bag like this

Viaterra Claw 2017 Motorcycle Tailbag (Black) https://www.amazon.in/dp/B072MFHQL1/..._cFrDAbNJFZHMV

Otherwise, any normal saddle bag would tend to go into tire. You have to very careful while setting up it.
          I have Raynox Nomad 2.1 , price. 4800/-.
I will show you how I did it. I am processing video.

Apart from AnoopKumar, is there anyone here from Hyderabad who has completed 10,000kms on their bike in addition to having First 4 services done at an Authorized SVC?

If ridden at around 55- 60 kmph in top gear on Highway mileage should be around 53- 55 kmpl and at around 80 kmph it should be 42- 44 kmpl approximately. In city it delivers 44- 47 kmpl if ridden sensibly. All figures are as per my experience.

Keep your Tyre pressure 25psi (front)- 29psi (rear)
                            Ride solo (Preferably)
Change the gear around 4.5k - 5k RPM
Lube your chain after every 250km
De-accelerate instead of braking wherever possible
You can easily get 55+ km/L mileage.

I have been using it for the past 1.5 yrs.. If u ride within the limit of 55 kmph.. It gives me more than 50+... For me,, it gives me 47 kmph.. I touch 90+ and ride little harshly.. Hope it helps u.
