    You have 3 free servicing.
    1st - A month or 1000Km
    2nd - 6 month or 6k Km (Not sure)
    3rd - before 12 month.

At what ODO you get it serviced? Mineral oil after first service should last about 2-3K kms.
There might be case, you got cheated by ASC that they didn't changed the engine oil, that's why you are facing roughness.

Need an advise. After riding around 900 after filling honda mineral oil my engine seems a bit rough in lower gears for the last 2-3 days..And gear shifting is also bit hard.should I change to fully synthetic after clocking 1000 Kms to motul 7100 10w40 fully synthetic oil.or should I wait for another 1000 km to get clocked on my odo before changing it.Actually I had to get my first servicing done with very less km clocked on my odo due to registration delay and 30 days mark getting over.So next service is at 6000 km.So shall I wait for that long or should I change my engine oil to fully synthetic after clocking 1000 in the ODO?

      Thanks ,
      Anuran
Change the engine oil/get the engine oil changed if you have doubt regarding engine oil change. You can visually check(and some mechanics also) whether the engine oil had been changed. If not use mineral oil. Fully synthetic engine oil prevents the engine from opening up as I have found out. My Hornet struggles to go past 110 KMPH as if the engine is brand new/not run in though my bike has covered 7200+ km. YouTube videos show 120kmph+ top speed. I switched over to fully synthetic engine oil during 1st free service. I feel that one should switch over to fully synthetic oil after 6000km at least.

Even after 1year 3months since this question, there is no Kill switch introduced. I picked my bike 4 days ago :-)

Is there any Hornet 160r owners group or riding club in Kolkata ? If 'yes' then please give details. If 'no' then contact me on my whatsapp number 9051936283 to create a hornet riders group and go for long rides.

As my bike cylinder kit and cylinder head has been changed,

Now I feel some sharp engine tone when I move the bike in gear.
And in neutral when I rev the engine ,nothing happens ,it runs freely.

But when I sit and gear in the bike to move sharp tone come from engine from 1-3k rpm and vanishes!!!
It was not there when the bike was new..

Is it due to new cylinder kit or something else???

I have heard the same sound coming from unicorns 150 ,hero bikes...
            Is that temporary??

Review after using Shell Advanced U Fully synthetic oil for about 200km:
                    1. Engine heating - Slightly reduced, say about 20%
                    2. Gear change smoothness - Not too different. Still pretty hard after about 30 minutes of riding. Gears don't change smoothly when changing at around 4-4.5k RPM. Goes to neutral once in a while (at least 4-5times a day) when changing from first to second gear.
                    3. Mileage - Not yet measured (based on current numbers, looks like not more than 5-10% difference)

                    Note:
Bike has run for about 3.6K Km. Completed second service at 3.4K Km.
