Afaik, all tyres skid on sand, when you brake on sand, or encounter it during a corner.Originally posted by Suddy View PostDoes this motorcycle seriously need a tyre replacement? My brother took a heavy bruising after it skidded on sandy road today.

Right, thanks. But I tried riding it afterwards on concrete. When brakes were slightly squeezed, it did skid. Funny that I've never noticed this before.Originally posted by leech View PostAfaik, all tyres skid on sand, when you brake on sand, or encounter it during a corner.

Handbrake? You mean the front brake?Originally posted by Suddy View PostNo, since this has CBS, only handbrakes were apparently used. I tried riding it afterwards and squeezed only the handbrake slightly and I went almost out of control.
Anyway, if only the front brake is applied on sandy roads, the front tyre may lock and result in a fall.Last edited by Shashank K R; 06-25-2017, 12:02 AM.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Okay guys after a long wait, I finally managed to compare my Headlight Mod with a Stock Headlight.
The first question might arise is how did I managed to convert the Headlight from AC to DC, I took it to a local mechanic, what he did basically is took the power supply from the Pass Light switch and fed it to the Low/High beam switch also disconnected the wire which was coming from the stator unit, so purely everything works from the Battery direct, i.e. DC.
I bought the LED Headlight of eBay.in for around ₹799 (But you can get it for much cheap if you look around at your local shops)
Link to buy from eBay - http://www.ebay.in/itm/322299425593
Below I've attached the photos comparing the Stock Headlight with LED Headlight, It's much brighter compared to the stock believe me, especially if you travel a lot in night time and there isn't street light on your way it can come handy. (specially guys living in Village area like me)

I'll let you guys be the judge.

Do low and high beam throw look same, at least to me?
May be you could reposition LED for longer throw on high beam..
Any impact on battery yetRide hard, Ride safe! :D

Yeah, I need to adjust the Beam properly... But got to say the light is much more denser in High Beam. And no, No effect on battery yet (I drive my bike almost 25km daily in daytime).Originally posted by vaRider View PostWow bro! It's killer setup![emoji41] [emoji108]

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I too have the same setup... The problem is that there is no cutoff for high or low beam... So when light is from low beam then the light also scattered to high beam area (i.e. lower portion of the reflector)... So it seems that there is more light in high beam... But the area of road to be covered by high beam is already covered by low beam...Originally posted by meeraj_xplore View PostYeah, I need to adjust the Beam properly... Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hello All,
ASC guys have changed my Hornet cylinder kit to that of Unicorn 160 ,
Will that create any impact on bike nature ...???
I do find some unusual sound while riding bike..
Is that of because cylinder kit is new and synthetic oil is causing it???/
or something else...
Please do solve my query??
