Yes, they exists but, oil additive and why joint lubrication ?
    this is the oil additive..
For joint lubrication they spray aerosol chain spray on chain... And some other aerosol joint lubricator on hinges, levers, stand(both main and side)...

I'm totally confused what should i do. P please suggest me.
You can go for the Hornet or the Yamaha FZ 25, the latter is much quicker/faster and much more fun to ride at the cost of fuel efficiency. My choice is the FZ 25.

Having completed a little more than an year and 11,000 kms. The bike has been trouble free.

I have replaced the stock engine mineral oil around every 2,500 kms. Along with the usual chain tightening and cleaning once in a while. And it has been giving a healthy fuel efficiency of 54 - 60 kpl depending on riding conditions. There is no issues whatsoever. I've also travelled long distances without any issues or back and body pain.

As for any issues, have a good local mechanic around. You can even buy original consumables and spare parts from the service center. I have been doing the same after the third service and save a lot of time.

I intend to retain this bike till it lasts. For its got good road manners and stability, amazing braking abilities in panic situations and is easy on the pocket for overall maintenance.

Be gentle with the bike in the run in period, maintain the correct tyre pressure and lube the chain as it is very important. I had minor problems when I would ignore the same like the rear wheel wheel not spinning freely. Rusting was something that was prevalent initially but if you wash and keep the bike clean in regular intervals it shouldn't spread. My rusting issue has since stopped.

Incase some minor issue crops up. All fellow Hornet owners are there to help! Treat it well and I am sure you will have a trouble free ownership and biking experience.

Tommorw I am Going to Get My Bike But, Still, i am Confused with Colors. I've Shortlisted 2 Colors which is Special Edition Sports Red and Striking Green. i don't know why But Sports Red is Looking More Muscular to Me in Showroom. But Problem is that i Never Saw New Special Edition Sports Red Color On Road and i don't know how it looks on Road. If Anyone Saw it on Road Please tell me your Review.
Also, I've heard Metallic Finish Looses Color Early in Comparision to Matte Finish, Is it True? Sports Red is Metallic Finish and Striking Green is Matte Finish. which one Should i go For? Please Help Me to Decide the Color.

Buy Sports Red if it looks more appealing to you. Buy a colour choice which you like the most - because you should feel welcomed to ride the bike whenever it is parked.
The normal single tone red looks just fine on the road - so Special Edition Sports Red will also look good. Moreover it is new so it will stand out more and have good road presence.

Metallic colour in fact is more long lasting than non metallic paint that in older bikes. You can observe cars also in traffic.
In my opinion, metallic paint is a little easier to maintain than matte finished bikes. My pearl white coloured still looks good. I use silicone glaze periodically. The part that looks dull is the faux carbon fibre black parts. They need to be polished with a simple dashboard polish sponge to retain its shine.

I had borrowed my friend's RE Thunderbird 500 with stone grey matte finish. It not only attracted too much visible dust but also sweat and oil marks.
If you want matte - then take the striking green - the orange mars edition is too common these days.

I like the red. See what suits you best and good luck with your buying experience!

I'm the proud owner of Hornet and enjoying the ride since one week. While browsing for more information about Hornet found the soft copy of owners manual on Honda website. Thanks to Honda for making it available online as this really helps having it handy on our personal devices.

OK let's not take it as hate message n I guess its not the forum also.. But just to clarify.. It will be of no use for the south Indians.. It will be like I give a manual in Mandarin to north Indian which again won't serve any purpose

Yes, it might be mistake to send Hindi manual in non hindi regions.
I got English manual in Hyderabad, so I scanned and uploaded my English manual so everyone have access.
I guess in Mumbai also, one of fellow rider got Hindi and it's difficult to read. I am from Varanasi, but reding manual in English is easier than Hindi.

After reading forum conversation i got to know that Hornet have many issues with his engine (unusual sound), chain & clutch.
I want to buy 160cc bike and shortlisted it but now I'm afraid after reading forum conversation.
Please tell me your opinion, should i go for it or look for another bike in this segment?
I also need a good pillion seal for my mother (sits one-sided). Please recommend me according to that.
Completed 20,500 KM and 1 and Half years. I never had any engine or clutch issue. Now chain and sprocket due for change. New kit available in local Honda ASC at Rs.1080/-. If you lube your chain on regular basis ie, 800 KM interval,it will last 20,000 KM +. My Pulsar chains lasted only 16,000-18,000 Km. Engine sound on higher rpm is an issue, but I think it's not an engine problem. Never believe paid writers and comment writers who never ride a Hornet. Hornet is not a SUPERB bike... but not a bad one.

                        Brother please go for Gixxer..
Suzuki makes best engines today and Honda has lot of problems as they compromise on many things now..
No compromise suzuki makes: Kill switch, better instrument cluster, robust engine etc.

Don't go by outer looks, heart and soul should be well, which is the case with gixxer.

I am having cbs mars orange hornet 9 months complete with >100 ASC visits.

                        Don't buy it brother.

I have seen gixxer owernership thread, A guy was as angry as you for having Gixxer because of engine issue. By browsing forums here I found that all the bikes have some faulty pieces. Fraction of bad one is normally same. You got into bad one. If service center is not able to resolve it that's definitely the issue.

I have Hornet over 1 years and 5 months with over 11000kms. Nothing much of issue so far. I have been twice in water logged area, knee level, twice and Hornet stayed alive to other side.
Another thing, I like is after 6k km, bike is super smooth. I didn't felt that smoothness with Hero Hunk, Pulsur and RTR160/180.

I also have issue that all the switches are seems low quality, however no issue in operation.

                            @anuragmishra

As a current Suzuki owner (GS150R), I myself won't go for the Gixxer in spite of knowing it is the best middle-class-affordable 150-160cc bike available in India. There are only two negatives on the Hornet (Compared to Gixxer).

#1 Switchgear. This is not exactly cost-cutting. Actually, these type of switches were found on the international versions of CBR150R of the Flintstone age. They are just sticking to their effective but super-outdated design.

#2 Normal chain, uncovered. Only thing we can do is to let the factory set wear out prematurely and then fit a compatible o-ring chain. For e.g., Honda's own Dazzler came with a 126-link o-ring chain; so one might be able to convince the SVC to fit that and still stay in warranty.

Gixxer is slightly more fun to drive like all the Suzukis. It has bells and whistles like gear position indicator and shift-up light. They are just that - bells and whistles. One of us had to wait a full week to get a clutch cable replaced for the GS. At times, I have been told "We dont have oil filter in stock". If one plans a simple DIY, getting a fork oil seal or a specific bolt would be PIT_.

Don't hurry up and book something. TD all vehicles of the class you prefer (Gixxer 155, FZ V2.0, RTR160, Hornet 160R) and you may never know which one would steal your heart and mind.

My pick for you in this segment is the Hornet 160R or FZ V2.0.

                                Hi All,

Recently my Hornet is making noise at the rear disc brake at very low speeds (0-3 kph) Any idea what the reason could be?

There isn't a need to start the engine either, just move the vehicle forward slowly and you can hear a screeching noise that's similar to the ones made by older vehicles when they apply brakes. The ASC washed the disc plate with some detergent and water with the wheel rotating. It went away for a few days, but from the last couple of days it's back.Anyone of you faced the same problem in your bike? Any solutions for this.
