The only way you can damage the motor is by running without oil, everything else you do won't damage it, except for lugging the motor, now that is commonsense.

To add to this, as long as he's not re-lining it on the tacho, it should be good. I believe I ideal speed on Hornet for cruising in 4th gear is about 65 to 70. TBH, I don't feel comfortable revving it hard above 70 in 4th gear. I usually shift to 5th around 60-65ish when riding on highways.

He can actually red-line all he wants, modern motorcycles are idiot proofed to great extents, hence why you don't even see temperature based oil charts in manuals provided to third world countries, same with 2000 km's run-in periods where as the rest just mentions 15~20 km's, they know very well that leaving any judgement for the end user in such countries is a liability for them in the future.

yes after valve replacement i started getting tappet noise, i waited like more than 1 month thinking it will fix as valves are new, but it didn't so i took the bike to svc again and that idiot told me after valves replaced they need to be adjust later, so he did a perfect job and now my bike sound and feel is like new . also after valves replacement i used this below product and i think this product also helped bike to restore it's original power. i think we can use this for every 3-4k as now days these petrol bunks are not trust wrothy about quality of petrol.

If any ABS guy going for service, please ask the cost of ABS replacement.
These days I have to use hard breaking frequently.
F@*&$g bunch of Jaywalkers in front and A$$#0|es honking from back. People are going retard day by day.

Bike stand still rock solid but I think ABS is worth to add.

Ok sir, i have 2nd servicing in October, i will ask svc about it. I have one question someone told me that vibrations also occur due to loose engine mounting bolt . Can you tell me how to tight this mounting bolts and where is their location.

Looks like you had a bad day in stop-and-go today? That's the problem with Indian traffic - car drivers will curse us for fitting into gaps and do the same even if we ride the motorcycle like a car, i.e, sticking to a proper lane and leaving sufficient distance with the vehicle in front. Worse, every time I leave a safe distance with the vehicle in front of me, another car/bike "cuts" and takes away that gap. I used to enjoy my rides on OMR to office but not much anymore unless it is virtually free.

Are you planning to add (retrofit) ABS to your Hornet from the 2018 version? Edit: Oh no, yours is CBS no?

Ask the SVC tech to tighten them. This is the location. Loose axle nuts, bad wheel bearings, loose swing arm nut, bad chain and tappet adjustment can also cause vibrations. We can leave the tappets and bearings as your vehicle is new and you are not running it very aggressively.

Also, find out from other owners where (RPM range) the most resonance is felt in Hornet 160R. There will be a mild vibration in this range no matter what - it is a single cylinder. Balancer weights do their best to arrest some vibrations but no single cylinder bike can be 200% free of vibes.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding abs , you should also ask svc in your area, since you live in big city unlike me, the svc may have spare abs kit.

No, but its difficult to retrofit that on CBS. In CBS, Rear and front are connected via a overload-protect and delay valves, caliper in front (ABS) is 2-pot, wiring harness is different, etc. One also needs to mount a pulsar disc and mounting for pulsar disc sensor is not present in non-ABS version. Add to that, I don't think the chassis for non-ABS vehicle will have mounts for ABS control unit/modulator.
