Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Use whichever oil you want, won't make a difference for regular commuting.Originally posted by #bpk View PostIn foreign countries, people have used 10w 40 oil in cbr 250r in which recommended grade is 10w 30. Can i use 10w 40 in summer
Thumb rule is to not go below the recommended operational grade i.e '30' in your case, you'd be fine with 40 or 50 or 60.Motorcycling Experience:
2000 ~ 2017 Y2K Kinetic Zoom (Disposed at 15k)
2011 ~ 2015 Hero Honda Karizma R (Sold at 56.5k)
2013 ~ 2014 Bajaj Discover 100 4G (Sold at 16.5k)
2015 ~ 2017 TVS Wego (Totaled at 18k)
2015 - Bajaj Pulsar 220F (Currently 31k) < Garage Queen!
2017 - Bajaj CT100B (Currently 21k) < 'Golden Quadrilateral' Runner!

Thanks ashwin sir , i want to ask you one question, does liquid cooled bikes like dominar also feels strained in high ambient temperature like air cooled motorcycles.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostUse whichever oil you want, won't make a difference for regular commuting.

I sold the unicorn 2 years ago. But I used a lot of oils including Shell advance ultra, AX7, Motul 7100, 3000. Not much of a difference between them except that 7100 felt a little coarser than normal.Originally posted by #bpk View PostWhich oil you use in your unicornLast edited by Shashank K R; 08-27-2018, 08:09 PM.

You have fz 25 isn't it. It's such a smooth bike, during test riding i did 70kmph and felt like doing 40kmph. Really nice motorcycle.Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostI sold the unicorn 2 years ago. But I used a lot of oils including Shell advance ultra, AX7, Motul 7100, 3000. Depends, you can never get a definite answer when comparing apples to oranges.Originally posted by #bpk View PostThanks ashwin sir , i want to ask you one question, does liquid cooled bikes like dominar also feels strained in high ambient temperature like air cooled motorcycles.
There is no hard and fast rule that LC is better than AC, both have their pro's and con's compared to the other and their application.Motorcycling Experience:

I'm awaiting delivery of the FZ25.Originally posted by #bpk View PostWhich bike you'll buy now
Back to the hornet, you have the new hornet don't you? How is the chain? Does it produce a lot of sound and does it loosen every 500-1000kms like the older hornets?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Chain is perfect, no sound, no loose chain. Only i feel little bit of vibration from 4.5k rpm, other than that bike is good, did 80kmph with pillion, abs saved me 3 times, looks beautiful ( junior dominar) , corners like charm ,great mileage of 48kmpl in city after 1st servicing, overall good ,just need little bit of Yamaha refinement [emoji23][emoji23]Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostI'm awaiting delivery of the FZ25.

Not really, I got a much better price for my Honda. 45k vs 65k for similarly aged vehicles.Originally posted by ashwanth.r View PostDid it get a good resale price?Last edited by Shashank K R; 08-27-2018, 11:03 PM.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
guys today i was thinking something else and giving full throttle but bike not crossing 85kmps on flyover like that for like 90sec and bike roaring then i realized i was in 4th gear, does that gonna hurt the engine badly or it's ok?
