But, they felt a bit strained above 5000rpm and were noticeably sluggish. Also the "tappet" noise on the Gixxer increased.

My friend did use 20w50 on his hornet. It was smooth, yes, but it was terribly sluggish.

I guess it's fine to use them when it's more than 35°C all the time.
Hi, have you used tvs fully synthetic 10w 30 in your unicorn. Its 525 rupees a litre. Do you have any idea how good this oil is.

Use whichever oil you want, won't make a difference for regular commuting.

Thumb rule is to not go below the recommended operational grade i.e '30' in your case, you'd be fine with 40 or 50 or 60.

Thanks ashwin sir , i want to ask you one question, does liquid cooled bikes like dominar also feels strained in high ambient temperature like air cooled motorcycles.

I sold the unicorn 2 years ago. But I used a lot of oils including Shell advance ultra, AX7, Motul 7100, 3000. Not much of a difference between them except that 7100 felt a little coarser than normal.

You have fz 25 isn't it. It's such a smooth bike, during test riding i did 70kmph and felt like doing 40kmph. Really nice motorcycle.

Depends, you can never get a definite answer when comparing apples to oranges.

There is no hard and fast rule that LC is better than AC, both have their pro's and con's compared to the other and their application.

Nope, haven't taken delivery of it yet. I just sold my beloved Gixxer today. I'll miss that lil' angry bike.

I'm awaiting delivery of the FZ25.

Back to the hornet, you have the new hornet don't you? How is the chain? Does it produce a lot of sound and does it loosen every 500-1000kms like the older hornets?

Chain is perfect, no sound, no loose chain. Only i feel little bit of vibration from 4.5k rpm, other than that bike is good, did 80kmph with pillion, abs saved me 3 times, looks beautiful ( junior dominar) , corners like charm ,great mileage of 48kmpl in city after 1st servicing, overall good ,just need little bit of Yamaha refinement [emoji23][emoji23]

Did it get a good resale price?

Not really, I got a much better price for my Honda. 45k vs 65k for similarly aged vehicles.

guys today i was thinking something else and giving full throttle but bike not crossing 85kmps on flyover like that for like 90sec and bike roaring then i realized i was in 4th gear, does that gonna hurt the engine badly or it's ok?
