I think I'm putting too much pressure on the handle-bar. What's the correct posture to ride a hornet?

No need to put pressure, ride casually... But in high speeds., Have a keen focus on road, have more conscious on brakes, ur ability to manage bike ( as bike is 140kg) .. I made a 123 kmph in my hornet but was moreee conscious about surroundings that speed shouldn't kill me and I should be able to reach destination safe..

Fz has no such issues. At least not the v2.

                Wrong comparison to make.
CBR250R is DOHC and has a shorter stroke, with the obvious fact that it's a bigger single.
Hornet is SOHC and is long stroke.
Also, you'll get used to shifting into neutral with time.

Buddy, ride the bike normally. Let it complete at least 6000kms before commenting on this. I have seen your comments/questions about vibration and oil in a lot of places.

Sorry, I don't have deep understanding about the bikes and the comparison I made is wrong.

But, isn't it true that the CBR250R also has weak low-end torque, maybe because of a different reason than the Hornet?

It is a bit weak in the low end, we can't ride it like we ride a 100-150cc. Most of the bigger bikes are like this. I've already mentioned the reasons above.

Yes, but that's not the case with other bikes of the same segment. I think Honda lacks in this department.

Depends on which bikes you're considering.

Check out other Hondas below 200cc (excluding the CBR150R), and you'll find that the hornet is different. Most Hondas intended for our market have a good low and mid range, which is exactly what we need for commuting and normal riding.

I think only xBlade has good low-end torque.

Not really, ride the 100ccs, shine, unicorn 150/160, Activa, etc or even the Karizma/Hunk/Splendor. All of them have a good low and mid range. There's hardly anything at the top.

In fact, I found it hard to keep up with a shine upto 40-50kmph on my FZ25 without revving it a little hard.

Commuter section has good low range torque. I've done quite a few KMs on my 2006 model Shine. Honda really nailed the commuter section in India, but it really needs to catch up with the 1L+/Sports bike section.
