Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Am staying in Bangalore, my office route is around silk board area... I can see more hornets 2017/2018 editions... Very rare XbladeOriginally posted by Bismaya View PostSales wise, xBlade is really picking up and devouring Hornet's market, which is an actual indication that people are opting for it over Hornet. It may vary with location but I see more xBlades here than Hornet these days.
Thing is, some people may think over-design in Xblade can be an overkill for it, but hornet has a mature, naked, macho street fighter appearance...
Yes, I accept good power delivery in low RPM is the main advantage on xblade, which hornet lacks ( I can blame its big tyres), but the premium look and safety features are making hornet costly...
I am 60kg, but riding on my hornet make me feel more masculine as well riding on a big machine... Thanks to its big tanks, big tyres...
Though looks are subjective, being a hornet owner...i Can say a few words ... Go big or Go Home

More power to you. I'm 60kg but I still find the Hornet a bit bulky (not in terms of weight) for my figure. I've got skinny hands.Originally posted by gowthamh View Post

Even I got skinny hands, at the time of buying hornet, I felt as whether I made a mistake on buying some bulky bike , which is more than twice of my weight... But as I get used to ride on it, feeling that machoism in it and am proudOriginally posted by Bismaya View PostMore power to you. Hornet was perfect for my build, but I was turned off by the attitude of the showroom.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostEven I got skinny hands, at the time of buying hornet, I felt as whether I made a mistake on buying some bulky bike , which is more than twice of my weight... Just as my friend and I were about to enter the showroom, an employee came up and asked us which bike we were interested in. The only reply he gave us - "saar 5 months waiting time", and he seemed to be intent on shooing us away.
BTW, I wonder how you commute on that stretch, it's a nightmare. I report late to work just to avoid some traffic on my route (DRDO to Whitefield).
Exactly what it is, subjective. The below quote and example by a fellow xbhpian sums it up perfectly.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostGo big or Go Home
OT done, I won't say more. Mods, feel free to delete the first part of this post, this thread definitely needs some cleaning up.Because everybody wants to believe they made the right choice. Rtr200 guys believe the rtr handles best in the ₹2 lakh category, Dominar guys believe the Dominar is more comfy, stable on highways, and CBR 250 owners ***** about lack of liquid cooling.
Basically, it's hard to get unbiased, unprejudiced facts.

Coming back to the topic, one of my friends has replaced the headlight assembly of his 2016 model with the new LED headlamps. IMO the visibility has improved compared to the old halogen headlamp. Do note that this was not a particularly cheap or easy mod.https://youtu.be/o64QdlQQzYk

Yeah, you are right. X-Blade too is having 4 segments. I checked in my bike today morning. Sorry, my mistake. I was wrong. I have gone mad since the day I bought this babe home. I think I am in need of specs[emoji23].Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostYou sure?

They both have 4 segments addy@4814.
Nonetheless, I like the engine on the unicorn 160 and xblade. Very eager and tall geared.

Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I feel there is some sound like “ trr -trr” from engine when is go beyond
3.5k rpm at 3rd gear
4k rpm at 4th gear
5k rpm at 5th gear
Though I haven’t noticed any drop in acceleration or milage but sound is much irritating.
Is that normal? Have you guys got this similar kind of sound in your bikes as well?
Ps: completed 4k kms and oil was changed to honda throttle at 3.6k kms. Tyre pressure maintain at 32psi rear & 29psi front.
Speed:
4th gear & 4k rpm 49kmph
5th gear & 4k rpm 53-54kmphLast edited by Rohit3235; 11-11-2018, 01:22 PM.

Yeah, i feel the same at 7 to 8k rpm, but i ignored it. Are you facing engine roughness after riding 30 to 40 kilometers in 70 to 80 kmph.Originally posted by Rohit3235 View PostYess i always wear helmet. And at idle conditions in neutral i dont hear such kind of sound.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
My daily drive is around 20-25kms at moderate traffic conditions. Sometimes i manage to go beyond 70 but for limited time. Today i noticed such sound just after 10kms though.Originally posted by #bpk View PostYeah, i feel the same at 7 to 8k rpm, but i ignored it. Agreed engine gets rough after several kms (15-20kms ) of run I had such experience as well. But after switching to honda throttle roughness was eliminated.
