Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Ya thats the only way to avoid belly scraping as there is no way to increase the ride height. Installing a higher profile rear tyre may increase the ground clearance to some extent in my case the 140/70 tyre on my fzs v2 increased the ride height by around 14mm but in this category I think 140/70 is the tallest tyre available which comes already stock with hornet.Originally posted by unik View Post

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I use to drive mostly with pillion and I didn't faced scraping the center stand. There are lots of big speed breakers in my area and I see Pulsurs are touching the breaker.Originally posted by unik View PostHi friends,
I need some help.
2) With an average pillion (~70 kg, hence 70+80=150 kg in total) the center stand hits the ground while on an unpaved bad road (I live in a small village !!) with a moderate speed of 30 kmph. But it didn't occur when I ride dead slow <10 kmph.
Will it help if the suspension is set to stiffer side? The service center guy told me it's because the bike is a sports model (low ground clearance 164 mm) and nothing cannot be done as this problem is inherent. He is like "I don't do the suspension adjustment because I know it won't help. You better avoid that road"
But my HH CD 100 SS ( ground clearance 165 mm and I ride it like hell in that road) and lot of pulsar, FZ guys use the same road without scraping the bike.
I suggest you to check the spring of center stand it might be bit loose which might be looses the stand while jerk. 164mm is quite high ground clearance.------------------

No centre stand scrapping is found on my Hornet with pillion over high speed-breaker till now. But you should go slow over such speed-breakers.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostI use to drive mostly with pillion and I didn't faced scraping the center stand. Hornet has a single spark plug just like other 150 cc bikes , unlike bajaj who provides 3 spark plugs to celebrate diwali inside their engineOriginally posted by adityagaur51 View PostHow many spark plug does hornet use? Depends on spark plug condition. I have done my paid servicing. they didn't change anything. With my hunk I don't remember changing spark plug till 25K ODO.Originally posted by mac4rfree View PostYesterday I gave my bike for the first paid service.. In that they changed the spark plug.. HiOriginally posted by DigantRai View PostTotally agree with you. I've been searching for a extender for the front fender. Unable to find one. However thinking to install a customs sheet that extends as engine cover as well.
Please do let me know if you know any place where I can find the mudguard extender in Bangalore or online.
I have installed a small rubber extender available for hero two wheelers.
I got it from a spare shop at marathalli in Bangalore .
You can also check for the same , just fixed it using glue (fevistick) , does protect formal shoes from mud on road during rains [emoji2]

HiOriginally posted by unik View PostHi friends,
I need some help.
1) The saree guard that comes with the bike touches the rear wheel center bolt even on the smallest of potholes and produce 'tik-tik' sound. The service center guy just pulled the bottom of the guard outwards and now its okay. I felt that action very unprofessional and saree guard now seems misaligned with its rear portion wide open<< like it's yawning
.

3) While inspecting the center stand issue, I noticed four screw holes under the engine block in a rectangular pattern. I don't know what fits there...any accessory like skid plate or am I missing something ? Kindly look for the same in your bike and please let me know. I'm attaching an image..see the four yellow arrows.
There is no soultion practically to avoid the stand hitting the ground on taller humps.
I too have around 8/9 taller humps on my way to office.
I have so far observed that setting the tyre pressure to 27/31 (front / Rear) reduces the chances of getting hit under.
But still need to drive under 15km, and in my case. I have a engineer guard that hits [emoji19] rather than the stand .

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
If replacing all the key component is not helping then replacing very bit of engine block may help. Including nut bolt that fasten every inch of the engine.Originally posted by Ravii View PostEntire cylinder kit with piston and cylinder head with complete components from brand new hornet from showroom was changed to my bike by A team from Honda....
Do I need to change the connecting rod, crank shaft etc...
I was fighting for the problem for 7 months hitting my head in various 10+ ASCs visiting each one atleast 7 times and then at last got the following changed..
Now whenever I visit any of the ASC they see me in a strange way like I am mad with the bike...
They know only one thing , to say ''no problem is there in your bike ,ride it freely without any tension ,we are here...''
What to do now????
Btw, apart from knocking sound, if the bike is running perfectly alright then just keep riding as it is.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
guyz want your suggestion in changing headlight for my hornet 160r as i feel its visibility is quite poor.
I have already exchanged once with
Philips HS1 12636 C1 Crystal Vision Headlight Bulb (12V, 35W): Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike
but still it feels like 10-15% increase in visibility... So after lot of web surfing I came to this product
just want to know if I can install this on my hornet without running into any battery issues.
