Must ride the dazzler/trigger and Hornet back to back to back guys.

The top end is amazing on that old free revving 150cc Honda engine.

My brothers 6 year dazzler even today does 125-127kmph as it did as a new bike.
    Cheers.

Have ridden my friend's dazzler. Couldn't get it to cross 105. It has run 50k+ kms, still runs good, he has touched 118 with a pillion.

I'm just saying that the top speed will depend on the environmental conditions too, doesn't matter if it's a gixxer/hornet/dazzler/trigger.

On my gixxer it is at 85kmph - zero vibes, and a smooth and relaxed exhaust note.

You do need to take breaks in between though, even though the bike can do it.
Triple digit speeds must not be done for longer duration.

I see a lot of guys doing 90-110 on hornets ,Gixxer.

That will cause serious wear and tear.

When I reach top speed I lower the speed to 70- 80 kmph. I don't ride at top speed for prolonged period.

Bro, I know that, I never said I cruise at that speed.

But on the other hand, on bikes which have done 30k+ kms, ride at top speed for a little while, and get the carbon and deposits cleared for free.

I think a dazzler/trigger will overtake hornet on a highway.

You don't seem to be understanding what I'm saying. It's in pristine condition.

I couldn't get it to cross 105 on one highway, while he could get 118 with a pillion and luggage on a different highway.

I'm saying the top speed depends on the conditions too.

And dazzler can't cross the hornet on the highway even in the right conditions and same riding technique, trust me, I've seen it.

Adding to all above points, I agree and from my experience of many 300+ long rides, I had same experience.

Hornet feels very relaxed at 80-90 for all day long. Considering road to be flat and no air drag 90-95 is sweet spot.

Due to tank cawls, you can feel the air drag at high speed but gives stability to bike. And yes, on same Highway hornet does 118 some times and sometimes doesn't even cross 102. All due to drag of air!

If you want to ride all day long just keep it between 80-95. For a while give it full throttle and then go back to 60-70. It refreshes engine as per my experience.

But don't strain engine. For top speed run you need better bike. Fat tyres of Hornet give ample of grip so does the top speed is affected!

Enjoy hornet on curvy roads, ghats and you'll have fun. You can do cornering as well, but stick to 60-70 when doing so.. tyres don't have that strong grip 70+

                      Ride safe!
                      Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

I would like to know about recommended replacements at this stage. be it chain, tyre or air filter. I have already bought motul fs oil.
                        I welcome your suggestions. TIA
In order of preference for me:
                        1) Seat (foam definitely, cover - need basis)
                        2) Brake shoes if rear brakes are drums (like mine)
                        3) Brake oil
                        4) Filters (both air and oil)

I think chain should last upward of 50K, but I may be wrong.

Chain is having life of 20k or so.

At 10k+ kms, you need to change the sparkplug and air filter (if not already done).

Guys, I bought a new hornet last month. Till now, i am riding it with fuel valve in main supply. It never stopped due to no fuel. When the gauge starts blinking, i usually refuel. But, last time when it started blinking, I opened the tank. There where a little left! 1.7L is the reserve capacity. But the remaining looked like just 300-400 mL.
                                .
Why it still running in Main/On valve setting at a very low fuel level?
                                .
Is my bike's reserve not working?

                                .
I actually went to showroom for a Unicorn 150/160 because my friends have those, they are getting 50-60km/l.
But after seeing hornet, i changed my mind. Now i regret my decision due to the poor mileage. Barely getting 40 km/l.
                                .
But i still loves it due to the size & looks. Its a perfect bike for me (Not in mileage).
