- Vibration has reduced significantly
- Gear shift getting smooth day by day
- Engine is not getting hot - Earlier I was able to feel it a bit.
- No grinding noise when hard raving - There was grinding noise while hard raving - specially it was noticeable at lower gear and high RPM.
Overall, bike is now amazingly smooth.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hello all,
I have done 4880 km on the odo.
There is a knocking sound in my hornet engine at 2.5k -3k rpm.
I am facing this problem since 1k rpm and I am fed up of showing it to ASCs as they say its right but I have checked other hornets also ,it is not there in them.
It comes in neutral and all gears hot or cold engine.
Please help me out to solve the problem.Last edited by Ravii; 03-11-2017, 06:44 PM.

Mail your issues to Honda.Originally posted by Ravii View PostHello all,

See if they respond back and help you.
At the same time, if you know any well experienced local 2 wheeler mechanic, show your bike to him,
They may easily point out the issues.
Pass this to the SVCs guys.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Prior to motul did you use throttle or mineral. Is it significantly better than throttle?Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostInitial impression of Motul 300v (Full Synthetic Oil) 100Km+, my ODO is 8.4K

I have felt these glitches once or twice initially. Try to warmup well engine in morning.
If nothing serious, things will be smoothen out.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
How you managed to rip it upto 39km/h in 1st gear & how the engine responded???? How many kms on the odo for your hornet?? I am still bambozzled on hearing this... i can only go upto 14km/h in 1st gear.Originally posted by Anupam Das View PostToday I touched 39 kmph on first gear. The bike seemed willing to go more(but not me). I forgot to have a look at the techo. Later I again had a go to 35 kmph and the techo seemed to show 9k.

I was on Honda ASC Mineral oil. I went to local mechanic. He just drained the old oil and poured Motul. I am not sure if it is better than Honda Throttle but I am getting gear shift like cutting cake.
It was very easy job. Can be done at home also.
Open given nut and let it pour till last drop. Some people blow from filling hole to clean out more. But no issue in only draining for 5-7 min.
After draining, screw the nut and fill new oil. Done.
1st gear can go to higher speed. But, we get scared due to harsh engine sound. IMO, new bike should do little harsh in 1st and 2nd gear, at least once in while in break in period. It will smooth it out.Last edited by anoopkumar0; 03-12-2017, 05:30 PM.------------------

Vimesh, he twisted the throttle on the bike's right handlebar. That is the usual procedure to accelerate. The more you twist, the more vroom you get.Originally posted by vimesh View PostHow you managed to rip it upto 39km/h in 1st gear & how the engine responded???? Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
The engine responded quite well and seemed to go still further as I mentioned earlier. And this is a fact. Period. In fact 1st gear is taller and not shorter as it appears when the bike is brand new. My odo reading is 5500+ km. I am using Honda Throttle fully synthetic engine oil from 1st free service. I am not facing any issue till now except lower top speed of 113 kmph(because the engine has not opened up unlike using mineral oil probably) and the chain getting loose sooner than my previous Unicorn (because of open chain). The bike is getting smoother by the day. Today I touched 115 kmph when going downhill though.Originally posted by vimesh View PostHow you managed to rip it upto 39km/h in 1st gear & how the engine responded????
