    Thanks Anupam.
One more thing, did you changed it at home.
Whenever service center changed engine oil, they also changed O ring of engine cap (If this is correct term). Did you changed it too?

        .
As per service center, yes it does void warantee using other oil than Honda Throttle FS (Used in CBR 250).
I am going to change to Motul 300v 10w40. I will give review in 1-2 weeks.

On first service. Fuel efficiency is good, 47- 53 kmpl, no overheating but lower top speed of 113 kmph, engine should last longer. Lower top speed should be due to not opening up of the engine. Mineral oil users are getting 120 kmph or more. Odometer reading is 5300+ km. Using Honda Throttle 100% synthetic engine oil. No void of warranty, in fact authorised service centre recommended it. Hopefully engine will open up later compared to mineral oil, probably then I will get higher top speed.

I went in for the second service today.
Had tappet valve sound and asked them to adjust it. Also asked if they could adjust the rear suspension to be softer.

1.Regarding the suspension the technician there said it cant be adjusted. I showed them the manual and then, they said they dont have the proper tool as honda hasnt provided them it. And also the tool for unicorn cant be used for hornet.

            2. They adjusted the tappet and hell! there is no sign of any adjustments. The same clinging sound as before.
And dont know if they have tampered with fuel ratio or carb, the acceleration is not as smooth as before. After shifting there is sudden movement and when we release the accelerator there is sudden deacceleration(engine braking).

            What should i do?

Recommended is after all the three services. However as Anupam said, He changed after first service. There should not be any issue changing to FS earlier. Better stick with Honda FS for now.

I think FS engine oil should be used as early as possible (1st service ) as it provides maximum protection to the engine.

                      Hello Fellow Riders,

I am from Thane & have got my Hornet Special Edition on 28th Jan. I am a novice about bikes & this is my first bike, but I am kinda worried about its performance.
I've been mostly riding locally & been riding on Highways for about 2 weeks now. I've completed around 310 kms so far by using like 10 ltrs of fuel, so I am getting not more than 30 kmpl.

I have heard Users getting around more than 50 kmpl on this bike which makes me wonder if there is anything wrong with my bike.

I had completed its first service( since the showroom guys were forcing me to get it done in 30 days) while completing 270 kms & observed that the bike kinda grunts in 3rd & 4th gear at 4K rpm. I have not crossed the speed above 55 kmph on this bike yet.

Also, the engine gets very hot even if i ride for around 15-20 mins after 3 days of the first service(the same has been confirmed by the Showroom guy too & was advised to get it checked at the service center).

Please advise if this is normal or what steps should I take now?

Get the fuel screw position checked for mileage.

How many of you felt this? I have doubt that combi break will lock front disc too.

Having ridden my dad's Activa a lot with CBS, I'll just say - its more life threatening than saving. Try braking with a CBS bike on a wet/dusty/rough corner, you'll find out.

                              Thanks.

Activa is different segment. Engine is one side will make less balanced. What I am pointing out. Does it happened to anyone else with hornet that breaking hard locked front too.
Just asking if happened. Please don't try, rear wheel get locked easily, you may skid in this case.
