Wow, thank you for pointing out my stupidityOriginally posted by PrinceCruise View PostYou might want to post pics of this procedure or probably a before/after set of pics here. The entire Hornet community will thank you.
Regards.
. I did not take the "before" photo. Also, in a rush of emotions, I bent the plate and threw it in the garbage. So even the pic of the removed plate is out of question. I can, however, share the "AFTER" pic. Could you please help me by posting a "BEFORE" photo of your own bike? I'll quote that message and reply with my version.
I just need a close up of rear wheel sprocket which has a feeble sheet plate attached with 3 plug-welds. Pretty Please

I'm not a Hornet owner, I have an R15S (On purpose I didn't buy a Honda, will not buy unless they fix their current IDGAF attitude).Originally posted by iamkrazee View PostCould you please help me by posting a "BEFORE" photo of your own bike? I'll quote that message and reply with my version.

Probably any Hornet owner who's reading this conversation, may want to pitch in.
Regards.

I love my bike very much & its only been one month & my heart breaks to see such thing as i am the kind of person who likes to take care of my vehicle & keep it in mint condition.... any help would really be appreciated in this regard & just a word of caution for the fellow riders over here to take care of your speedometer because if something like this happens you are left with very little choices & the last thing would be to change the entire assembly which would cost you very dearly as service center told me i.e. 5000 bucks.... of course i am not in a position now to shell out this much amount so looking out for some effective alternative hack for the same...Hello friends my scratched speedometer is back in its full glory... the deep scratch is gone thanks to exceptional honda after sales support.... i am a happy customer
Cheers to honda

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Also for me it's been more than a year now, clocked about 8200 in ODOOriginally posted by Shabareesh Shab View PostGuys its my long term review of the bike after riding for almost an year clocking 9000 in ODO. I can say it has more of cons than pros
Here are my views (mostly negative)
1. headlight is horrible.
2. vibrations soon after few mins of ride.
3. won't fit for city traffic and also for highway as well. Its more of a uncle's bike who rides always in the range of 40 to 60.
4. just 2 services and 6 complaints to asc about some or the other issue (even asc guys are pissed off with me and my bike).
5. my suspension got damaged with 8000 kms, complained to asc. They said they will change with warranty. They did so but I don't feel they have changed anything, simply they cashed my warranty and returned my bike as is. they said suspension issues are common in hornet, any others have the same issues?
6. vibrations all the times.
7. short lower gears in city traffic makes you feel like throwing the bike on the road and catch a ola or uber.
8. Not at all value for money.
9. I would suggest not to go for hornet (regretting for buying this bike every day when I see it).
10. I do clean my chain, get it adjusted in a timely basis, still that jerks and rough behaviour.
Final verdict : Its just a scrap from honda to loot people
Below are my views (Also mostly negative)
1. Poor electronics (Instrument console)
2. Extremely poor Headlight
3. Poor paint on suspension and other metal parts (already getting rusted)
4. Facing major problem with the engine, contacted almost 4 to 5 times at ASC (They just changed the "Chain Tensioner" covered in warranty) which unfortunately didn't make any difference (Also let me know if anyone is interested in knowing the problem in detail)
5. Changed the oil from mineral oil to FS (Mobil1 10w 40) thinking this might change my engine issue, which didn't!
6. Very bad low end, can barely hit 10-15km/h on the 1st Gear
7. Also don't think the carbon fibre styled body parts would last much longer (They fade with time and eventually you would end up buying new parts straight away) even after regularly applying dashboard polish (3M Dashboard dresser)
8. Problems with the chain being excessively loosening frequently
9. Very small capacity of the battery (4Ah) which will limit the customisation game for some enthusiasts
10. Also needs to frequently clean the disc brakes (mainly the Rear ones).

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
As far as my observation goes... the roughness starts when you try to acclerate very hard but what i have seen is if you let the bike warm up initially before starting early in the morning & ride around 5kms without accelerating hard you can get smoother ride.Originally posted by Preshit View PostHello guys , tell me is this problem is common or not :- my bike is quite smooth also bike easily goes speed of 30 @ 2nd gear and 44 @ 3rd gear. This is my observation & mine is 1700 kms on the odo... others can share their opinion so we can get a clear idea how exactly this bike behaves .
