.Originally posted by BlazeForth View PostOkay. From testing riding I felt so comfortable on this bike and four of my friends have hornet and they never said any complaints except chain loosening. And am planning to have this bike for not more than 5 years, as I will be going abroad which makes me consider the resale value of honda bikes. Anyway thanks for your advice.
Chain loosing is not an issue. I get it adjusted only only once apart from regular services.
I think hornet USP is to reduce vibrations, back pain, and wrist pain, and it's correct.Originally posted by Suddy View PostYou'll get mileage yes, but here are what you'll get as bonuses: vibrations, back pain and wrist pain. The seat of hornet is warped. The level part is pretty small. This is what happens to me every time. I try to sit comfortably, but due to the slope I keep sliding forward. The friction always burns my groin and....ahem...my sacks. It also causes my pants to ride up. I get back pain sometimes after long rides. Engine also gets pretty hot.
The throttle of this bike is quite stiff. The same twist on other bikes gives more power. In this bike, you'll have to twist more to get that same acceleration. Most daily commuters know better than to hurt their wrists unnecessarily. They only give so much throttle. It's kinda natural. As I said before hornet has a lesser acceleration at this same throttle, it actually allows the bike to gain speed steadily and slowly conserving the mileage.
So twist more and you may invite wrist pain. Try going at 70 or 80 and you may experience an "augmented reality" of an earthquake.
This is my story, others may beg to differ. If you're still going with this bike, try not to have regrets later....
I agree seat is sloppier but not issue with seat cover.
I feel 70 - 85 is best speed you can ride on hornet. Just amazing. Either in 4th or 5th gear depends.
Flat acceleration - Yes. its true. Need to step down to get more acceleration.Last edited by anoopkumar0; 02-08-2017, 11:31 AM.------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
It's way better but I feel the bike is not made for city traffic. Being a 160 cc this is the least we can expect. Hope it gets better after 2nd and 3rd service.Originally posted by vimesh View PostAbhik1 bro.... Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Yes... you are right bro... its very difficult to ride in bumper to bumper city traffic due to first two short gears... initially when the bike was new i used to get stuck between first & second gear in slow moving traffic & my bike used to stop suddenly with a jerk at cross roads due to improper gear w.r.t speed.... i was lucky to not get hit from behind from cars... since it is my first bike & i was in learning period slowly & steadily i got the hack of it & now issues of unexpected stop.Originally posted by Abhik1 View PostIt's way better but I feel the bike is not made for city traffic. My seat cover's different dude. Yours looks nice. No big difference between the actual seat and the seat cover in my case. By the time I reach college, I'll feel like pouring ice water below my abdomen 😥Originally posted by vimesh View PostSuddy..... Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Brother can you give the link to these lights..... Also these are connected to the battery or a DC connection...???Originally posted by vaRider View Post

Hey guys! Installed U5 LED lights on hornet on leg guard! Total cost 1160+140. Purchased from Amazon! See yourself the effect of LED lights vs headlight in the attached pics! [emoji16]
In last pic you can see headlight on left side and lights up front.
Highly recommend! [emoji2] [emoji108] [emoji106]
Any suggestion how to make arrangements on leg guard to aim both lights at same point? Then it would very brighter!
Also i have a question... Can both low beam and high beam be connected so that if we use high beam toggle both are on at the same time.....???
Are high beam and low beam different nt bulbs or same bulb....???
Sorry I'm a noob to bikes...

Dude. Think you are little perplexed nowOriginally posted by BlazeForth View PostOkay. Yes. Few of our members gone through some horrid stuff either with bike or ASC. Mine is just opposite. My odo is 12000+. My engine is quite smooth now. I am planning to replace stock oil with FS oil and i hope engine will go further smooth. Just stick with manual. no experiments please. dont tamper anything, dont try to be grease monkey, dont do R&D. After 3 services your bike will be ready for few controlled changes.
You have to live with few bugs, Poor head lamp(Change to osrams after 3 service), Short 1st 2nd gear, Basic switch gear(but super rugged). Take care of chain and tyres regularly and you are going to be good. cheers.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hey bro,
Here's the link
It's connected to main wiring and not to battery. So it only runs if key is on. So even if engine is off, it works fine similar to Pilot/DRL on Hornet.
Yes, both are connected to common switch so they operate at high, low and Strobe at same time.
High beam in this LED light means operating at full 15W, low beam means at 12W and Strobe at 6.8 W.
It's not upper/dipper like main headlight.
Hope this helps.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D
