Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Still my back break is not having the disc bite, i will ride for another 200 km and will leave for the 1st service at around 600 km and ask them to resolve this issue with out which im not going to take the bike after the service. Is there any other way if they do not oblige.pls tell.Originally posted by vinnuthegr8 View PostI have a similar problem. However, a small difference is that, in my case the rear brake is very good, just that the lever had to be pressed very hard. To explain it simple, assume that there are drum brakes the brakes are loose, what happens is that the lever had to be pressed a lot down for the brakes to apply. So is the case with me. When i took it to the Honda servicing center, they said that they will have to clean the disc and they did that as well but with no use. I also get a very light screeching sound when i press the brake. Again when i complained, they said that they will have to remove the brake assembly and check. Any one aware of this please guide me what might be the problem.
Further, is anyone aware what is a good service center for Honda bikes in Bangalore(preferably near to Ramamurthy Nagar) else ready to go long distance as well, if i get a very good service. I will take my bike there for the second service. I am somehow not satisfied with the servicing nor the response of CITY HONDA people.

No sir chain cleaning and lubing is not free. Almost all of us here have paid for that. 75 was the lowest I found here in this thread.Originally posted by Remesh Augustine View PostAdditive oil Rs 150 ? for what ?.... Chain cleaning & lubing also free for your 2nd service... Honda dealer simply exploited you
I was offered that additive oil even when I went for first service by the service advisor but I declined it. After having a talk with the mechanic this time I thought of giving it a try.
I suggest everyone tu politely decline any offers of additive oil, engine flush or teflon coating. They all are svc means to earn money.

I have also done chain tightening for free of cost...I think you should check the same with your service center.Originally posted by Saurabh213 View PostNo sir chain cleaning and lubing is not free. Almost all of us here have paid for that. 75 was the lowest I found here in this thread.

I bought on 21 Dec. My first service @ 1050kms, 2nd service @ 4000kmsOriginally posted by Shashank K R View PostI don't think that is possible given that the bike started selling only in December.
My odo is now on 8800+. Present condition of my bike is not well. Main problem is decline in performance. So I am planning for 3rd service this week or should I wait for some more kms.Safety first. Happy riding!!

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
One mechanic suggested me to change the stock clutch levers to adjustable short levers. He said, according to this engine gear system, those are the correct levers. I am confused!! Anybody else got this suggestion? Is it worth spending on levers.Safety first. Happy riding!!

Does he want to sell you levers as well?Originally posted by Sai Sagar View PostOne mechanic suggested me to change the stock clutch levers to adjustable short levers. Short (adjustable) levers are comfortable (if you don't have huge hands) but they're independent of a motorcycle's gearing.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!
