Guys have you noticed that bike moves slowly upon half engaging clutch? Very similar to cars.

Feels really good to move in traffic without needing to accelerate!😁😎

I think your idle rev range at startup is above 1200. Anyhow its a good news. But my bike immediately stops if I do like that. Don't know what's the problem.
Safety first. Happy riding!!

How many km your bike did? Mine 3100 km..

My rev range is normal. Cold engine 1000 RPM. Hot engine 1300-1400 RPM. I had it checked from SVC. They used some USB device to check it! 😁

Point to note that when I tried this, my bike had run 30 km at 70+ highway speeds. So engine was very warm and smooth.

You can also get this. Just release clutch very slowly and when it starts to move, just hold clutch in that position. Similar to what you do in car...

My odo is now 8000+ After service it responses quickly to your throttle. But after some days it behaves like clutch plates have worn out. Makes too much of noise even at 40kmph.

Thats called as friction zone of the clutch. It is a very basic concept when learning a bike. But in India we learn in desi way so we dont care much about it.Before driving a bike we should know where the friction zone of that bike is.Search youtube on friction zone and you will get many videos. And yes it is very useful in traffic.

Sai Sagar that is mostly because of Honda oil.

There are three stages of Clutch :

1. Fully Engaged: Engine is free from wheel. When not to use: Strictly While breaking
2. Left freely: While driving, no need to explain.
3. Half Clutch: Partially engaged , So you don't have to shift down always. Problem: Should not use too much. While engaging half clutch wheel is moving, that means your clutch plate have to work more and lifespan will decreased.

Yes, that's right. Also called as bite point. I learned this on car.

I had tried this on Hornet when it was new, but it didn't work at that time. But now since bike engine has become free and smooth, it works like charm!

Yes, half engaging clutch may be harmful but at the same time we need to ride in traffic very slowly. So in that case also, you'll have to ride with half clutch and accelerator. All in all it becomes same.
I'm mainly talking about bumper to bumper traffic in very slow motion. 4-7 kmph.
