Want to know as it is said that it is soft compound.
How are grip levels at present.
Also Detailed long-term review from your side will be informative.Last edited by kathi; 08-08-2016, 04:06 PM.

I think tyre will last for 15,000 km ,that's enough for a soft compound tyre. Tyre grip is also good , but not excellent . I saw a small engine oil leakage from oil dip stick area , and "O ring " missed... bought new one @Rs.5. I am not a tech guy to speak about long- term review and torque . I expect Honda will provide new set of switch gears ( Unicorn 150 switches are more user friendly ) , engine kill switch , twin horns , more power for head light , saree guard step etc for this premium bike. Engine is still very smooth... only irritation is that "grinding" sound from engine on high rpm.
Personally I prefer more commuter friendly handle bar.... paint and plastic quality is not my liking.. 6000 km of service interval is also a boon. Compare to other premium 150- 180 cc bikes in the market, pillion seat is comfortable.

I had received a call from tansi Honda (where I took the delivery of my bike) that a ride is going to happen and break fast and petrol worth ₹200 is sponsored by companyOriginally posted by vRide View PostNop. No calls received.
As I have some other plans on that day, I couldn't go
Even I noticed an engine oil leak, the root cause for the leak is faulty neutral switch, which I got changed it today morning.Originally posted by Remesh Augustine View PostI saw a small engine oil leakage from oil dip stick area , and "O ring " missed...Last edited by ramprasadkamineni; 08-10-2016, 11:30 AM.Yamaha fzs (2009-2012)||Honda unicorn(2012-2013)|| Hero karizma R (2013 - 2016)||Honda CBR 250R(2016)||Honda Hornet(2016-Present)

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hi all,
Recently there was a Hornet Rally organised by Honda in Bangalore. The ride was planned to Nandhi hills on 7th Aug, and we were notified by dealerships on the ride only by 5th. Couldn't pass on the information to the forum earlier.
It was a fun ride and more than 60 hornets were present. And it was my first long trip (160 total)
Riding along a huge Hornet formation, roaring ahead @ around 80kmph was an exhilaration
Hornet handled really well on the hill. Riding on turns was like a breeze. while negotiating steep turns, I leaned the bike so much without much worry on loss of stability, and the confidence the bike gave was really awesome
As we were told, there is a app called "Ride Nation", and once we register in the app and join the Honda Hornet Club, we would be notified of future rides.
Hope to meet XBHP'ians in the future rides..

Fitting additional mudguard / tyre hugger will definitely destroy that killing LOOK.... and a real headache for long run. Many Pulsur/ Discover users avoid them after a short period.Originally posted by mkkvs View Post
