Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Ask service guy to adjust the clutch range so you can use half clutch. This will help you to avoid stalling and jerky acceleration in start.Originally posted by vaRider View PostHas anyone figured it out, why hornet stalls in 1st gear
Moreover, speed range in 1st gear is very small, you have to shift the moment bike starts rolling.------------------

With my same clutch range and riding style, bike never stalled in 1st gear. Really strange...Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostAsk service guy to adjust the clutch range so you can use half clutch. This will help you to avoid stalling and jerky acceleration in start.

If you love clutch plates, avoid half clutch as much as possible.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostAsk service guy to adjust the clutch range so you can use half clutch. This will help you to avoid stalling and jerky acceleration in start.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
The stalling problem can be solved by giving a moderate rise and releasing the clutch slowly (NOT THE HALF CLUTCH). But remember that this is highly dangerous because of the chances of impromptu wheelie. Alternatively, compromising a little on mileage until you understand the bike fully, you can ask the ASC to increase the idling rpm half a ton.
The process had been done to a CB Hornet of a friend, as suggested & solved by the ASC, and the stalling is gone, but the bike behaves as if someone gave it a good touch on the accelerator all the time.I meditate as I ride to find a place to sit and meditate.

But until one get adjusted with new bike, half clutch/Slow release clutch is necessary tool in worst traffic.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostIf you love clutch plates, avoid half clutch as much as possible.

Yes. Ride your bike for about 15 to 20 minutes and adjust it by placing your bike on centre stand. Idle range is 1400+/- you can set it to 5 or 6 bars on digi meter.Originally posted by vaRider View PostThank you! So, it is better done when engine is hot.Safety first. Happy riding!!

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
That's too high. I had put 1k idling on my Gixxer. The only thing i have to take care is to stop the engine from getting shutdown when it is cold. Then whole day it would not switch off. To avoid this headache try to put it on more or less 1.2k.Originally posted by Sai Sagar View PostYes. Ride your bike for about 15 to 20 minutes and adjust it by placing your bike on centre stand. Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hello Guys!Thank you for your inputs regarding the stalling issue!Got mine fixed by raising a complaint on the Honda Website and they promptly directed me to the ASC and it's done and dusted!
Another query I have here is that whenever I apply the rear brake,I hear a slight screeching sound, seems as in the plates have lost their lube or something, any solution for the same???
And is Pressure washing once a month or twice maybe an issue? What should be pre and post cleaning stuffs to be done compulsively?
