And is Pressure washing once a month or twice maybe an issue? What should be pre and post cleaning stuffs to be done compulsively?
That's great! So how did they fix it
Pressure wash is okay only if bike really needs one. Too much pressure washing washes away all lubrications and may loosen up small joints, screwed and chain.

After every wash, make sure you lubricate chain again and check all electricals.

Thanks mate!Mine is a White Hornet and it does need a bit of care as far as the cleansing part is concerned!Checking for ways to keep it clean without disturbing the electricals and joints as you aforementioned! :P Well..the guy at the ASC just adjusted the knob near the kick rod!As simple as that! Any idea about the screeching issue bro?

          Hi All,
I have booked Hornet special edition (Green) CBS dual disk @ Pashankar auto Shivajinagar pune. Following are paid accessories Seat Cover(350)Coating(590) PC(1200) EC(175) Helmet Lock (200). I ca pay for them but I have following questions

          1. How good is this dealer? Is there any PDI list that I should refer for Hornet?
          2. Is there any default seat cover that comes with bike?
          3. Puncture Kit- How useful is it? Is it really worth?
          4. EC - Is it really useful? does it have any side effect?
          5. I have heard that headlamp is weak, Is there any option to upgrade it without violating warranty? Do showroom people do it?

          Thanks in Advance

            Hi
You can ask for PDI before taking delivery or before paying for particular engine and chassis number.

Puncture kit is handy but do you really need it?

            What's EC?

Any modifications of headlight or electricals will void your electricals warranty only. May be you can replace other bulbs with lesser wattage and increase headlight. So it will not put strain on battery

What's EC? Again some liquid which improves engine performance. Not sure how good it is in Run-in period

              Agree.

PC is not kit but some kind of liquid they put in tyres. They claim that it lasts for 2500km. Not sure how good or bad it is

I can change bulb later. But in general even if we want to buy/pay for bulb do dealer support it or replace it for us?

Avoid the "EC". Even the coating is useless actually.

Buy the bulb and replace yourself. It's a very easy job. They don't check anyways.

PC not necessary. Just maintain correct tyre pressure and check for bad roads. Periodic inspection of tyre thread will help.

Generally avid such EC or additives. Will your bike really improve in performance by using such things? A good riding style will help in long engine life.

Dealers or any Honda ASC don't do any kind of modifications other than repair work.

I want to know which polish/wax is good for the bike paint protection and also for fuel tank black cover (as it's getting whiteish), black side panels ?

                    Motul chain cleaner and lube

And where I can get them in pune? Near kharadi, kp, viman nagar or close by location.

Which seat cover is better, 1. Joy ride. 2. Shown in honda website. I have not seen any if them. Joy ride is available online and honda official one is not available in my city nor they are planning to order.

I am currently in pune for 2 days so I can buy from here.

                          decided to buy Hornet.

just a little bit confused about its engine performance.
does not have the pull like Pulsar in the 1st 2nd gear.
more like a city commuter for traffic and potholes laden road.
just want to know about its mileage in city
                          is it > 45 ?

Well bike has really good pull power in 1st and 2nd gear. That's why they are short geared. 3rd onwards speed is amazing! Take a test ride once. On 1st gear Max15-20 speed is okay..

You can easily use this bike for Highway riding as well. Till 105 bike has great motion. After that it fades.
80-90 all day riding is okay.
If you want 100+ cruise then go for 200+ cc

On sane like sport riding expect 45+ mileage. Very sane riding 55+

Seat cover has good material and provides little cushion.
