Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Bro, How did you do that? During my initial run-in, 4.5 used to be the cut off, I used to get only something just above 60 as far as I remember.Originally posted by kausumi20 View PostThis beast reached 70kmph today in just 4k rpm, awesome ride very comfortable.

Yep I did.Originally posted by Saurabh213 View PostDid you guys opt for the extended warranty at ₹660 ?
But you should also know this: different people have different views regarding it.
FOR guys say: anything happens to bike you are covered
AGAINST guys say: its a trick from the mangement guys to keep you bound to HSMI service centers.
Anyways you got your bike today?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
As I understand, at any particular gear, a definite rpm will have only a definite speed. It can't change on slope or a flyover or u have pillion or no pillion. or so I had thought. Maybe anyone more knowledgeable can chip in more information .Originally posted by kausumi20 View PostCould be a downslope cause i was riding over a flyover.but it does 60 easily at 4k rpm

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
You see its a love or hate thing.Originally posted by Saurabh213 View PostDid you guys opt for the extended warranty at ₹660 ?
It all depends on whether you know of any local mechanic who knows how to pull apart a Hornet and put it back together after a service or you have good relations with a particular Honda SVC.
In my case I have good relations with a particular Honda SVC and I always take my Honda Activa to that SVC for service every 3 months. They do an excellent job and sometimes do a little extra out of protocol as a sign of good relation.
Heres the thing about extended warranty. You have to strictly follow their Service schedule irrespective of how much you ride your bike. For example if you havent ridden your bike for 3 months, you still have to take it to the SVC to service it to maintain the validity of the Extended warranty. This is what some people claim as getting trapped in a Corporate scheme. But you really have to think about it before opting for the extended warranty, whether you will be using your bike a lot or not.
As far as I have seen, Honda bikes are very reliable and most of them never really have any manufacturing defects or malfunctions. So like I said before, its a love or hate thing.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
All three bikes are good and the better one will be from an individual's perspective. A lot of factors decide the bike for a person. Eg :if you have performance as the main criteria then apache Comes at top with hornet and gixxer at par.similarly if good pillion confort ,fresh design , smoothness and reliability are your main criteria then hornet is the one followed by gixxer and apache comes third.if you want a faired motorcycles with jaw dropping looks and if you are on the shorter side then gixxer is the one for you.Originally posted by Ashik Asees View PostHornet, gixxer sf, rtr 200
Which is better and why?
So please elaborate your criteria to get a proper advice.
PS all the above points are from my point of view and may not necessarily be true.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hey guys
I also got my hornet yesterday
A few concerns that other owners might help me out with..
1.the engine at lower revs is not at all smooth that makes city riding a bit painful will it b smoother as I ride more ..bdw I rode almost 120 kms the day I bought it
2 seat is wide spacing is ample but still as a rider I feel some discomfort anyone else feeling the same
3 some sound is coming from chain ..I guess one owner mentioned
It previously also
Bdw it looks killer in black..
