Anyone of you did an early oil change ?
I.e during run in say 50 or 100 kms ?
I wish to do the same with an oil filter change as well.
Where should i get it done ?
Will the asc guys able to make it that i have got the oil changed locally ?

Its not mandatory to keep using mineral oil... i am taking a chance ; for u always learn from ur own experiences.
Mineral oil is recommended for the run in by experts as synthetics can hinder the run in due to their superior lubricating properties.
On Xbhp I've seen most people recommend shifting to semi synthetic at around 6000km and then fully synthetic at around 10000km.

Besides that, the oil you've bought is good. It feels great, especially on highway runs. I've personally observed that smoothness reduces a little bit.

No harm in changing oil at 50-100km. But there are people who say this is better and there are others who say during the first service it is better. There's no oil filter like the paper filter used in Yamahas or Suzukis in Hornet.

It's hard differentiating oils if they are of the same color. In fact the ASC guys may not even look at the oil after draining. After some usage, the oil becomes blackish in color and it becomes impossible to find out.

Hey! the showroom issued a slip but they just wrote A/F on number plates. Is it fine to not been charged?

hey guys planning to join the hornet club
          few questions

          1. is the bike heavy ?
i have only driven 100-120 cc bikes which are really light

          2. mileage
does it really give 45kmpl ?

          3. CBS
          how effective is CBS ?

also the showroom guy said i have to wait for 20-30 days.is it worth it ?

P.S i will take a test drive this weekend so please dont give suggestions like 'take a test drive' I want to hear your perspective....!! thanks

Yes it is heavy and very stable but when you ride it you wont notice the weight,if you ride at 50kmph yes you ll get 45kmpl, CBS is effective for new riders or who uses rear brake more than the front, but having rear disc is really a plus point.

                  1. Bike dry weight is 140 kgs. But its chassis is flickable. COG is good with decent ground clearance. Once u start riding it u wont feel anything

2.50 to 65 kmph , with my weight of 95kgs it returned me 44kmpl ; it will increase once the engine sets in...

                  3. CBS does a fantastic job. No wheel lock yet. Coz its how you use the brakes. In hard braking release d throttle, rear brake lever with burst of front brake.... awesome stopping power

                  4. Honestly.. low end power is lazy. U wont get the fun of gixxer. But rev it .. post 4500rpm engine gets punchier. And post 6500 rpm it get nasty all the way to 9k rpm. I touched 122 kmph.. buy the bike if u beed a matured well mannered and most imp Honda's reliable engine

                    1) yeah it sure is heavy than 100-120, or even better put most of 150cc bikes too but one doesn't feel the weight while riding the bike. It turns itself in providing balance
                    2) am in run in plus in city riding getting 40 around
                    3) CBS is a safe, effective & helpful measure[Note that government is to make it mandatory for all sub 150cc bikes from 2017, for >150cc CBS].

Also on an added point you will feel strange on the first 30-50kms while adopting from 100cc but after that you get in love. Believe me you would just want to get over with the run in period then.
