Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
How long did you ride after locking full the throttle ? Was the speed & rpm constant for considerable amount of time ? Personally I haven't tried beyond 72kmph. In mine it reached that speed at ~ 5.5k rpm. I think the throttle response will be felt when all the gear up-shifts were done atleast between 4500-5000 rpm.(Ideally the most power efficient would be when the bike operated at its power band ie., for Hornet it is shifting between 6500-8500 rpm). When constantly the bike is run in the power band, the mileage might be dropped considerably, but quick acceleration can be felt.Originally posted by defray View Post

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
that not normal, i have done my servicing yesterday, anyways , though bike got slower a bit , but i made 104 on top gear @ 7.5k rpm.Originally posted by defray View PostHello guys..I need some help regarding the throttle response of the Hornet. I have done my first servicing with an oil change at 820 kms.Gear shifting down is still hard and after throtling hard I can reach only 6k rpm at my top gear at around 72kmph,after that there is no throttle response. Is it normal anyhow?

Unless you mention not to touch the carb, more likely they will try to inspect & adjust (because as per 1st service checklist it is advised to inspect). If they had tuned it for mileage, then the A/F(air/fuel) will be set to lean & pick up will drop. Also I have not experienced any issue with pick-up after 1st service. My opinion also inclined towards using mineral oil (that Honda oil for Rs 310 will also be fine) till some 2000 km after reading many online pages.

I faced same issues... they so something with engine tuning. I dnt exactly know. Will check with my mechanic n let u know. After first service i gave it to my trusted mechanic.... now my bike is just the way as i took its delivery.Originally posted by defray View PostHello guys..I need some help regarding the throttle response of the Hornet. Okay. I guess I have having some issues with my clutch adjustment. The rpm tends to stuck in between 2-3k.Originally posted by Zeit View PostI faced same issues... they so something with engine tuning. I dnt exactly know. Will check with my mechanic n let u know. I was not in a constant speed for much long time as I was in the middle of the office hours traffic, just got a clear stretch on my way to office where I can rip the throttle but after 72-73 though I was throtling it felt like there was no response.Originally posted by wdrwilfred View PostHow long did you ride after locking full the throttle ? Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I bought an activa 125 8 months ago. The procedure was simpler then. I got my temporary number right from the showroom while buying it then got my permanent number in 15 days. Now at the time of buying hornet, rules have changed a bit, and problematic too. You need to first go to RTO from temporary number within 7 days of getting the bike and then you will have to go RTO again for permanent number. I have just got back from barrackpore and it's really frustrating to go 50 KMs up/down ride just to have officer to see the number printed on neck of your bikeOriginally posted by Kumar Sourav View PostI bought orange hornet on 2 March from dugar Honda Kolkata they are saying I will first gat a temporary no within 7 days and then within 30 day bike has to be registered just confusd about the procedure
