Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Oh.. may be i was not clear in mine words. Wanted to state the same info while stating Kill switches are not for every stop we made between ignition on-off. Thanks, friend.Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostLast edited by Raghvendra; 02-27-2016, 12:48 PM.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Projectors I agree with. Lighting of current bikes is just horrible, at some point you have to go with aftermarket bulbs.Originally posted by @raghav View Post
Would sure have been great if Honda had given projectors/55-60w halogens, abs.
But for any one looking out for options & verdict type of statement I am very satisfied with Hornet. Lets see how the long term & after sales services carries out.
ABS is overkill for a 160cc non-performance bike, infact for anything below 200cc. Even the Mslaz does not have ABS and thats a performance naked bike let alone 200NS or Duke 200. TVS is providing a great package at a low cost thats a good thing but then again it depends where they obtained their ABS technology from.

Ah, sadly here i differ with you. Panic braking can occur at any speed (Yes, the results would be much devastating at high speeds). How about giving it as an option?Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostProjectors I agree with. Lighting of current bikes is just horrible, at some point you have to go with aftermarket bulbs.

Speaking of performance bikes Dukes even below 200 are getting abs in the international market.
Also to note: From 2017 as per Indian government upcoming rules, Bikes above 150cc have to come with abs as mandatory & bikes below 150cc with cbs. Also mandatory is whole time running lights (no off, only low & high beam).

Cheers, I am myself waiting for a possible update on the Hornet before I make my purchase. I could go with RTR200 top end but theres nothing that can beat Honda's engine reliability and ultra smooth refinement and service network. (OFc some service centers are bad, but the one I go to is excellent as I am a regular customer)Originally posted by @raghav View PostAnd here i sadly agree with you,
Great conversation bro,thanks.

Yeah, adding to the service centres, I had experience from two service centres already. One from my native, Kerala and other from karnataka. Both of them are so niice. I couldn't believe how passionately they cared my bike and listened to and tried to sort out the each issue of my bike. After hearing all the bad quality service I heard from internets and forums, I was too judgemental. One thing that makes me even more happy for opting a Honda!Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostCheers, I am myself waiting for a possible update on the Hornet before I make my purchase. Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
The trick is to stay with the bike and try to talk with the mechanic. Most people just leave it at the center in the morning and go for work. Since they have to finish servicing lots of bikes, they are not going to give a lot of attention to each bike unless the Owner is around and watching. That will force them to work on your bike more carefully.Originally posted by hisham2k9 View PostYeah, adding to the service centres, I had experience from two service centres already. Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
exactly, i saw many times people complain at svc that they don't take of customer's complaints but most of them just leave their bike their and pick it up in the afternoon and saying they didnt do this or that etc, but from the very beginning i always stayed at svc and i blv in if you make good relationship with the guy who's looking after your bike most of the time then you will get benefited ( from my personal exp ) , i had done all the servicing of my cbr 250r abs (past bike), from dugar honda , and there's a guy named bunty who's cbr specialist, and now i own hornet and thankfully that guy also service my bike along with cbr's.Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostThe trick is to stay with the bike and try to talk with the mechanic. Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
hisham2k9 @Ayns I think what matters more in the after sales is in following order
1) The mechanic -- After all he is the one who has to do what has to be done, & then why most people head to their fav. locals after free services.
2) The company -- How much the company is interested in training mechanics from around the whole country & what quality is the training of.
3) The service center -- The availability of spares plus appropriate no. of mechanics as per the demand plus the working conditions for them.
Off course their are many other dependencies between them & the best result is possible if all execute their role best way possible. But the company should pay a keen attention to the complaints made to them to ensure its vision being implied.
As end users we can have good experience by having good relation with the mechanic plus finding out who is the best(trained) one for our specific bike. Don't they say — "A doctor listening to our problems patiently cures the ailment half way then itself." Satisfaction!!

My vote goes for the orange.
Taking the bike tomorrow with cash payment..
Any special instructions for the PDI for hornet ?
About colour all will speak their own favourite bro. Any ways here are some points:-
Black - has some sparkle effect in sun, also least colour fading in due course
Blue - its very dark, many confuse it with black
White, Orange, Red - The black cladding on the tank gives it a nice contrast.
Go for your favourite, if possible have a look at them in person.

I wanted black, then white but went for red(favourite & lucky as per ma family
) Anyways all shades are beautiful.

exactly raghav , even i know that most of them aren't gone through proper training and don't know the solution as well, but here at dugar honda svc i saw that they actually listen and about the training part i also feel the same way as you.Originally posted by @raghav View Post@hisham2k9 @Ayns I think what matters more in the after sales is in following order

Good choice bro, for me its blue though i wish it the shade cud be more on bluer side, and as raghav said look at them in person then decide. as much as i know - look abt the km it should not be more than 2km on ODO, inspect the bike very carefully, about scratch n all also looking glasses each n every thing, don't go for any seat cover + grip cover ( personal choice because they are asking for 1k for seat cover n 500 for handle grip cover's ) , check the clutch, brakes (if they are too loose) , drive chain , tyre pressure etc etc,Originally posted by Saurabh213 View PostDecided on the hornet guys
