It is butter smooth. I get vibe after 105 speeds that too controlled ones.
Except for the 73 to 85 speed band. It feels rough and angry.

Also i am using Honda's Throttle oil. It is very good.

How many kms you done? What is your experience??

Was it same in initial 3000kms I am asking because my bike has logged 2600 kms and the bike is feeling harsh with vibrations creeping in at 3k rpm along with harsh engine sounds after traveling 20 minutes in traffic.

Any idea as what is going on?

Also, sometimes, the gear changing is very butter smooth, but the change of gear from 1st to 2nd is very harsh.

And there is Chain slack issue.

Keeping these in mind, what should i ask the SVCs guys to look at ? Will they do fix these issues during free service?
Hi.
Gear upshift and downshift sometimes are notorious. Even i face sometime. But very rare.

Yes about your service tracker. Mention all the issues you are facing. Make sure they note it on the Job-Sheet. Cross check if the work is done both by taking a short ride and the nature of work done while taking delivery

Extras that Chain clean Chain lube. Brake pad and disc clean. Front fork sounds if any , idling rpm 1200 rpm to 1400 rpm. Etc you can add.

No.
It was fine.

Maybe you log in 3k rpm in higher gears. On an average on mineral oil bike tends to be harsh if you rev it in wrong/ lower gears.
In traffic you will feel roughness because you dont change gears even at 25 to 30 in 2nd gear riding. It's normal . But as per my experience it changes when you hit a smooth flowing traffic zone.
To b very frank my experience with service centres are pathetic at best.

You can try Honda throttle oil after second service. I believe YOUR experience will b pleasant

please Tell your feedback on honda Full Synthetic throttle compared to mineral.
Any slight clutch slipping because of FS?.
Is engine heat reduced?
Will it run for 6000 kms?

Hello.
Synthetic reduces the engine vibes to awesome extent. Only if you ply above 100 speeds you start feeling some vibrations.
No change in mileage. I am still getting 49 kmpl in.mixed conditions
Clutch was slipping initial 50kms but after it set-in ; butter smooth shifts. Only the 2 to 3 and vice versa are notorious at times.
It will easily go for 5000 kms. I changed to fs at 6100kms

Lastly engine heating is also reduced to good extent.
It costs 696 bucks.

Hi Guys..

Bought CBS version of hornet one month back.

I Have a different issue, related to color. When I purchased my bike I didn't notice the tank color is different to its side part. One side is with manufacturing color and another one is repainted with same paint color but some dullness without glossy effect..

I complained about this today to showroom manager, they told it's a small mistake we will repaint it with same premium color paint.

But one of my friend suggesting me to ask for replacement of a new tank as he is good in bike related issues handling.

Anyone suggest me more about this issue, what I have to go for, repaint or replacement?

In my opinion you should have thoroughly checked the bike at the time of delivery.

Since a month has passed it is is good that the dealer is at least acknowledging its mistake.
You should ask for a replacement of the tank free of cost as they will never be able to match the quality of the factory finish paint.

If they are not willing to replace the tank then accept the paint job by them and follow it up with some professional glazing/ polishing treatment to retain its shine.

Also, did you pay for the graphic stickers as accessories by your own choice or did the dealer allot you one with the graphics from before at the time of delivery? If its the latter then it is clear they were trying to cover up the botched up paint job.

Stickers done by my personal willings only, but at the time of delivery I didn't notice the difference, but after two to three times rides in rain I got a little visual the tank color is different when the water evaporates in sun.

What do you think about CBS? Necessary or just a gimmick?
On above query, even I own a cbs version but I prefer independent braking, ie no connection between front and back brakes since on Cbs model I feel the lack of bit. But I like the disk at back. :-)

Did the first service today with Haiku Honda, near tin factory at 770kms, only expense was the engine oil price of inr375/- and a little paint from silencer[emoji30]. Was not satisfied about the service since they just did a water wash without cleaning the bike properly and threw some oil over the engine part to make it look clean. But after riding the bike for some 3kms the oil got vaporized and could see the dirt on the engine and silencer part. Service guys just adjusted the slack of chain and didn't even care to clean or lube it. Over all a bad experience. I'll try the Anand Honda at silk board/Hosa road for second service since they use to do a good job with my Unicorn.

• Rain gears?

Hello riders,
I asked to mechanic at Honda SVC about plastic cover on handlebar. He says not really required as water doesn't go inside, however for switchgear it may drip.

Please suggest if it is really required. Thanks.

vRide That ASC (tin factory) caused so many problems in my bike after first service. They oiled my front disc😑, engine felt rough, the acceleration was gone, vibrations, a mileage of 35-43 and a weird grinding sound which I've not been able to solve to this day. I even considered selling my Unicorn 160 and buying some other bike.

vaRider what plastic cover?
