The pulsar cs400 is being launched with led headlamps. Will those be compatible with the hornet?

I tried on fifth, but it maxed out around 105 at 8500rpm
Yes that's right! I felt my tachometer went wrong!

Love the grunting after 6k rpm.

Anyone tried a 55/60W bulb?
I haven't redlined lower gears yet.

Addition of new bulb will void your warranty

You are asking the wrong question in the wrong thread at the wrong time.

Warranty isn't an issue. Anyone tried a higher watt bulb?

Clocked 1500 Kms. I dont know if this is normal but my bike switches off when I am in higher gear with low RPM. Is this due to taller gear ?? TIA

It is normal if, say you're trying to ride at 25 in 5th gear which is around 2k rpm. Don't lug the engine this way, shift gears appropriately.

Yes, It's normal. If you are at higher gear and low RPM bike switches off. There is little precision needed for 2nd and 3rd gear when to shift low or high.
Engine start grunting if at 2nd gear and little high speed and on low speed and in 3rd gear.

Sometimes, when i downshift from 2nd gear, it goes to neutral. It happens when i upshift from 1st gear also.

Recently it is happening quite a lot.

And also, when i shift from 1st to 2nd gear, i can hear the sound of the gear getting locked quite clearly (even in the crowded place, A Tok sound). But i never hear anything when i switch to other gears.

Is it normal?

Yes, that is normal. How old is the bike? Rather, how old is the engine oil?

I have already completed more than 7000 km and done 2nd service in 6000 Km at EVM Kakkanad. Everything is fine . I needs to clean my horn switch .... some kind of malfunction in sometime.... head light beam is also not great ... but far better than some Hero Honda bikes .... I think its a common problem among Honda family ... battery 4Ah.... I am ready to spend more for a 7 Ah or 12 Ah battery .. no bulb up gradation is possible with 4 Ah. 2nd service was good except their water wash, at least they should wipe out water from the bike after pressure wash. Splashing from rear in monsoon season is also a headache.. pillion will drown with water and mud from the road.

Anyway great experience with Hornet

The 1st to 2nd sound I've heard in many bikes. Maybe something to do with chain slack, because once I took a heavy pillion, and the 1st-2nd shift was smooth.

Drove it 3-4 times , for city ride i feel its good with 70-80kmph do not expect too much its not racing bike.
One thing really promising is CBS i applied brake at almost 75-80 and result was amazing.
Buy it for 80% city +20% highway.

It is recommended by some seniors to switch to synthetic after around 6000km, ie, after the second service.

Coming to the foot rest, Motomonster and appsvasan have fitted the foot rest of other bikes. FZ's foot rest may fit.
