Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
There is no fixed setting it varies from bike to bike and depends on altitudeOriginally posted by Suddy View PostHas anybody found the perfect setting for the carburetor? How many turns from the just-seated position should be made for the fuel screw for best performance without comprising much on mileage?Off the BOTTLE & On the THROTTLE

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I m so frustrated with my bikes performance it's harsh like hell.. I have done my first service at 300km then gave it to ASC when it was 400km again at 500km both times they changed engine parts like balancer and piston etc etc worth over 7k .. Now it's 800km on Odo again same issue and going worse by day . What can be done guys according to you all? Can I file a case in consumer court? The bike rides like old scooter. Need your help ASAP

First find a good honda service center where u can have another hornet for comparison and problem flow detection by svc guys...
Also for hard riding..
Plz note to set up your carburetor to factory setting of proportionate fuel and air intake..
More air intake and less fuel make ride very hard ...
Say svc guys for the same...
And if sound comes from engine you can correct your tappets too...Last edited by Ravii; 11-13-2016, 11:38 PM.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Just wanted to share my experience...i took white cbs in April till clocked 4500kms
Bike is definitely not smooth...i have accepted it as hornet's character. But i like performance at 4& 5th gear and i love it's cornering abilit thanks to fat rear tyre . Today i had a big big Big smile on my face. I was riding on ghodbunder road from , i dont ride like a racer and dont try to compete with others but a guy riding on Royal Enfield was trying to evoke me by honking me and overtaking again slowing down to hink behind me....i was irritated n the ghat section came. ' The hornet'...man it passed the corners smoothly ...it gives so much confident to lean with its fat n sticky tyres. I left behind RE guy eed faced...he was just unable to move bulky RE through ghat confidently...

I have enjoyed this through lots of curvy roads such as Ghodbunder in Thane, Old Mumbai Pune highway, Malshej ghat, Ahmadabad highway, downward Kasara ghat on Nashik Mumbai highway is pure heaven! 😎😁
I ride my bike mainly for weekend or joy rides. I ride it in city rarely.
Recently my bike doesn't go above 95 easily unlike 105 earlier. It makes weird noises, will switch to FS once 3rd service+2300 km done.
4900 on odo now. Didn't ride bike since last few weeks...Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Completed my 3rd service by 10 Months / 6200 ODO.
So far engine is getting smother.
Only issue is when I use only rear break, it seems ineffective but with front+rear. Great breaking. Kind of used to it.
I am not sure if I ask service center to make it really effective. If rear tyre get locked while breaking, bike will surely skid.
I asked about synthetic oil use. ASC mechanic told, after all free service he can fill any choice of engine oil in front of me.------------------

You can adjust by yourself. Find a upside down screw just besides the kick footrestOriginally posted by Anicto fdo View PostDone with my second service at 4081 kms, bike is little smoothie compare the condition before the service, but after reaching home when I keep the bike idle, the rpm is ticking at 2000 rpm. Is this normal or do I have to check with ASC guys------------------
