Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Not just struggling but at 4k constant a ticking sound from the engine comes in which is evident. This sound is not thr when engine is cold. Only after 5-7km of ride this appears.Originally posted by sri.rtr160 View PostNoise in the sense while we accelerating upto 40 KMPH at 4500 RPM, engine is struggling in 2 nd gear

It might be the loose tappetsOriginally posted by Abhik1 View PostNot just struggling but at 4k constant a ticking sound from the engine comes in which is evident. This sound is not thr when engine is cold. Only after 5-7km of ride this appears.
It will be more like a sewing machine sound
If that's the case go to SVC and ask the Mech to adjust the tappets
This should be done when engine is coldYamaha fzs (2009-2012)||Honda unicorn(2012-2013)|| Hero karizma R (2013 - 2016)||Honda CBR 250R(2016)||Honda Hornet(2016-Present)

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
They already changed a lot of parts from my engine so I m sure they would have checked the tappets . Let me give it some time and let the odo cross 2.5k then I'll see if things get better.Originally posted by ramprasadkamineni View PostIt might be the loose tappets

AFAIK, if its the issue with the clearance of tappets, it won't go until you get that doneOriginally posted by Abhik1 View PostThey already changed a lot of parts from my engine so I m sure they would have checked the tappets . IMHO, the synthetic oil will delay the bedding the engine as it is smoother.Ideally, you should change your oil to synthetic after 5000 kms.Originally posted by windsong View PostI did my first service at 820 km--changed the engine oil at 900 km with MOTUL 5100 10W 30.Will change the oil again at 3000 km with the same oil before the the second service at 6000 km.

I left the sticker that's close to Honda logo and pulled out the other 2
