Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Was it in first 3-4 Km. This might be issue of not having proper warm-up.Originally posted by mkkvs View Post------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
i think he was on 5th gear by the time he reached 40. So doing 30 on 1st gear doesnt look correct to me.I had tried 22 on first gear but not 30. May be today i will try that. May be doing 30 frequently will open up some secret lockOriginally posted by Suddy View Posthttps://youtu.be/Fvf-e7BRvKU
☝ Notice the speedometer on the hornet. The guy riding it goes beyond 30 on the first gear. He is doing clutchless shifting, but you can see when he shifts by observing his right hand when he blips the throttle.
Hornet has no low end power and small gears- 1&2; I don't understand how it beat the gixxer in the drag race.....🤔 Anybody.....any clue....???

Not in the first 3-4 kms but around 20 kms which takes around 45 min to 1 hrs in traffic.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostWas it in first 3-4 Km. This might be issue of not having proper warm-up.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Thats what I am saying..the bike was not having any problem..It was fine even when I started it ...it was me who was lazy and hence lazy driving. Once that guy poked me I got my attention back and then the ride was without any problem.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostThis sounds odd.

Just saw the video again and i cannot see that he chaged gear after 40 so i assumed he is in 5th . May be I am wrong.Originally posted by Shashank K R View Post5th gear at 40? Then hornet would lose the drag race. If upshifted close to the limits, then the speeds are 1 - ~50, 2 - ~80, 3 - ~104, 4 - 117+.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
👆 This one's better. For those of you commenting on the video, please read my earlier post carefully. I didn't ask you to simply watch the video, I asked you to observe - pay attention to detail. The guy is doing clutchless shifting expect for the first shift where he uses the clutch and the shifting is quite vivid. He just blips the throttle every other time he shifts.
The screenshot attached should help a bit. Let me know what you guys think after "observing" the image.....and the video, ofcourse.....

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Today i made it to 121 kph...
And more juice was still remaining.. It can go to 125+ kph.
Yes true it has tall gearing..in low speeds it feels it do not have power but after 80 or 6500 rpm power starts...
Thats the character of Hornet...
We feel less power due to exhaust note...
But it is very powerful...
Many of us assume false assumption with the bike but what Honda needs are some engine improvements, better switchgear, mid range, vibration cancellatuon, 6 th gear and then Honda is done with best 150-60... In every aspect...

But it screams so much if you take it to higher rpms in the first 2 gears. Sounds more like struggling than generating powerOriginally posted by Ravii View PostToday i made it to 121 kph...

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Dude, stop riding according to your feelings, take the bike to a empty road, give full throttle and shift gears at redline. Then talk about Hornets power. Bike 'screams' so much? What do you think it's supposed to do? Make meow noises? [emoji1]Originally posted by Suddy View PostBut it screams so much if you take it to higher rpms in the first 2 gears.
