Just now checked. In precise My Gixxer doing 80-85 @ 5.8k rpm/5th gear. Thats really making me happy.

PS: it's not a slope. Damn flat tar road( highway).

Just did 160 km long ride nearby Mumbai! 😇

Initially for first 30-40 km bike didn't go above 105 easily. But after that very easy 110-115. Did top speed of 120 by leaning down! 😎

One thing for sure, once bike picks up speed it holds it steadily.

Also did redline of all gears..
      1st 30
      2nd 50
      3rd 75
      4th 100
      5th 113

Time to replace engine oil. 2100 km since last oil change.

Feels awesome on this bike after fully geared up. People stare and give way. Even cars do!

You can tell it's for your neighbours cbr250 if they ask you. Be creative. Chances are they won't have the time. Don't barge in and demand Honda throttle for your Hornet, because you'll get the standard 'warranty void' or 'Honda recommends mineral for your bike'.

Does that mean throttle is available in mineral as well as FS form?

They will give you without asking for bike.Replace by yourself.I don't think they will ask more details.(In my case I hav bought mineral oil and change myself as there is lot of rush, and they didn't care about which bike & all)

                      Thank you!

I'll buy it very soon.. Synthetic should last 4000-5000 km right?

Probably I'll change it after my 3rd service, else it will be waste...

What changes does synthetic oil brings in engine performance as compared to regular honda mineral oil and when should I shift to it....
Its 1100 on the odo on my Hornet...

                        • HONDA CB Hornet 160R Engine noise

Actually I bought the Honda CB hornet 160R 3 months back ..I rided the bike @ 80 km/hr and sometimes I rided it on 100 km/hr .Now while riding on 5th gear at 45 to 50 km/hr the engine makes some extra sound. After crossing the 50 km/hr speed that sound get disappear. One more thing is during engine cold conditions the bike is smooth but when the engine temperature at higher level reduces the smoothness...I consulted the service man for this ...but he told that the engine is normal.I am in confusion, please help me.

Synthetic offers more stickiness, it absorbs heat faster than mineral, avoids damage to engine and thus offers more protection.

As suggested by fellow rider in one of the posts, it is better to change it after 7000-8000 km as engine gets proper break in till then. Synthetic doesn't do much engine breaking.
I'm not sure about this fact...

Hi guys. Purchased Hornet on April 12, 2016. Completed 9500 km till now.
3 Free services completed. And changed Engine oil 2 times myself at my home.
That means 5 servicing has been done. Oil Changing Range - within 2000 km.
Overall performance in Plain is very good. but in hilly cities in upward gradient it is very painfull with a pillion. Power is not delivered in low rpms. partcularly in upward gradient in city traffic. I have never got milege less than 53 kmpl.
i have regularly done two 160 km trips weekly i.e going to office from home and coming back to home. ( Guwahati to Shillong.) ( 50 m elevation to 1800 m elevation).
Sorry for long post but i just wanted to share my experience

I think a whole blog is needed on your experience on long drive like 160Km and hilly areas.
