Completed 2600 Kms. Took the bike to ASC for chain tightening..inquired about a few problems, I faced 2 problems

Q: low idle rpm as mine was at 1K when engine is heated and below 1K when engine is not heated or when driven in evening time. Due to this my bike stopped several times in traffic conditions.
A: ASC guy response was there is no issue with idle rpm. I told him that as per manual it should be around 1400 . He said it is measured using a separate RPM meter at the ASC and not using the bikes digital meter. I asked him to check using their rpm meter for which he responded that it is currently not available.

Q:gear shift issue where it was difficult for me to come to neutral from 1st gear and always i had to downshift from 2nd gear for neutral. I suspected clutch issue as when the bike is on center stand and clutch is held in gear, rear wheel still moves...i showed them this and their response was it is normal in this bike.

Can someone check the above two things in their bike and confirm whether the rear wheel moves while clutch is held and what is the idle rpm on their bike.

Mine too gets stuck on quick downshifts, which when happens, i have to release the clutch and downshift again. Its a real pain when we have to take a speed breaker.

What was the problem? How did they rectify it.?

And regarding running in, its a controversial topic and one cannot say if you have done something harmful to the engine now. Experts should help you with it.
Regarding 1st problem ,SVC guys are telling it will remain there and it persists only when we come from higher speeds to standstill very early .
and 2nd problem is solved as I made it once again go to 90+ kph and it vanished the problem.

      Whosoever I meet,
They all say "HORNET ONLY HAVE LOOKS AND IT DOESN'T HAVE ANY POWER AND SMOOTHNESS".
I too feel this with my bike, I have ridden it 680 kms and no sign of any smoothness and power .
Now I think ,I would have gone for the gixxer or apache...
      What about you brothers.....???

Honda this time definitely disappointed on quality
I have already replaced the rear disc as it got damaged due to negligence of service centre, as they did not inspect it on second service and coming to suspension I some times feel it is same as my activa 😑
Overall I have started living with the known issues and waiting for my third service.
From last one week the pickup is reduced so bit worried what has gone bad this time (I have checked chain slack too).
            Just fingers crossed untill service

In 1st gear, rear wheel moves. No issue with it.
I adjust idle rpm on my own.
              Morning: 1K
After running 10Km, it reaches to around 1.3k.

For the concern of feeling lower power. Shift gear after 5k. You will never see power loss. Most of the bikes in 150/160 I have rode, I needed to shift to 5th gear by 4k.
With hornet even at 6K rpm, engine sound is normal in 4th gear and shifting to 5th gear at 5.5k hold the power.
If you shift early, you will feel the less power.
              Regarding power,
In my office there is quite a elevation in road. While other people struggle to ride. I can able reach 40Kmph in 3rd gear passing all of them even with pillion.
In my opinion , it just odd gear length which we need to get adjusted with.

Quick gear shift-up to 3rd gear and be comfortable with 4th gear. No need to hurry.
While slowing down, a little tricky to find which gear to follow.

              Question:
I am going to pressure wash my bike which will wash chain too (No fully).
Is there any kind of lube I get from petrol pump or somewhere so I can use for lube my chain.

You must have got a paper from dealer which mentioning a temporary number. Until you get the the permanent number you can use it for a month or two. Depends on your state rule.

It will take around 3 days for the dealer to give the temporary number. Can I drive my bike till then? Won't the police threaten me?

You can rather buy a chain spray from a local spares shop,
but let the chain dry for some time after wash and then you can spray it with the lube.

No need to worry as i dint even have any such temporary number on my vehicle,
And three days are really ok, but do not break any traffic rules :P

Brother in the run in period till 1st service don't try to make higher speeds, ride within 40-50 kph range .
Avoid instant acceleration and decelleration and apply brakes smoothly.
I am also having suzuki gs150r 2009 model which is very smooth and follows my command ,having ridden nearly 2 lac kms ,still it reaches 120 kph mark with proper stability.
After buying Hornet ,I was thinking for the same but it needs different attention.
So plz take initial care brother...

Had covered 2800 km in 1 month. Engine is not as smooth as Yamaha's but not a problem.
As suggested by other, I too change gears around 4.5k RPM and no such power loss
