But after ridden 703 kms ,the engine after getting warm or coming down from 60 kph doesn't make revs normally down and still they take time to go to normal and they retrict braking feedback too ,also acceleration has also become poor.
I have done 1st service at 650 km.
Also I made it once go to 103 kph,and avg speed was 60-65 kph and avg rpms were 4-5000 during run in period.
The problem is making me in great tension as I love my bike very much and I want to relieve my bike from this condition.
Please help me in solving my problem..
      Dear brother,
In such case check your idle RPM when you face this issue. See manual for photos and instructions how to adjust it.
Then check if choke is working fine or not. By pulling it out and pushing it in immediately.

Check chain slack as well. Tight chain makes riding very difficult. Adjust for 2.5-3.5 cm slack.

Lastly check AFR at your SVC. And request for factory setting.

Please let us know after that..
      Ride safe!

completed 1st Service at 830 KMS. SVC charges Rs. 272 for E OIL, and Rs. 9 consumables, gear shifting has become smooth. but still getting stuck between 1st gear and neutral sometimes. pick is not at all satisfactory. Hornet doesn't have the acceleration like pulsars. 3rd gr onward power surge is there. but getting 100kmph takes too much time. any ways i love it as now a days i dnt ride hard and fast. its smooth and taking on corners at 40 KMPH (gradually increasing speed at corners) does not makes tires loose traction as tires are not hard. Over all i am satisfied. Only issue is the Head light power, too much low.

and thank you my fellow XBHPians for helping me out in problems

I made a big mistake. my bike rattles and makes all sorts of noise. not at all satisfactory. I should have stuck to my pulsar 220.

Hi, I am going to buy the special edition green hornet. I am a bit concerned about this matte paint and maintaining it. Will this become whitish and glossy over time? Any advice or opinion?

I am confused whether to go for CBS or non-CBS variant. Does the drum brake of non-CBS has enough bite? Please advice whether CBS is worth the extra 5500/- bucks.

When I test rode the CBS variant, I felt the brakes are applied progressively even when I tried to brake harder. Similarly applying the front brake hard didn't result in any shrp braking. When I tried to accelerate I felt there is no pickup yet it reached 60 without letting me know when it did so. I mean I didn't have the feedback of surge of power. I felt like riding a CBZ only much quieter, like a maruti van. Is this the way hornet behave?

Also does this engine have any issue. I want a hassle-free experience, no fuss. Is this the one you would advice?

The special edition looks great. I would be less worried of paint worn out in due course.

Go for CBS version. It saved me several times. The bite will be so violent that i banged my head once. Bike looks great with rear disk.

First two gears are shorter in proportion with taller higher gears. Bike is with just 'enough' push in lower gears but goes nuts after 6k rpm.

Compliment engine and it compliments you back. excise care during run in period. Dont lug engine in lower gears.

If you look for instant surge of power, fun biking..go for gixxer/RTR etc...but if you look for a mature product with reliablity, fuel economy, ample pillion go for hornet.

I dont have issue with basic switch gear. it serves purpose but headlamp is just annoying. nonethless. i love this bike.

After along time i'm posting again,
I had been to the service centre a few times [with the pickup issue], the manager asked me sit on the pillion and rode for a few kms, he told me that my bike doesn't have a bit of issue and asked me to ride a hornet in the service centre which was reported with the same issue, the riding experience was awful, it was same as my bike was.
Complained to honda again, they asked me to leave my vehicle at the service centre for 3 days, The contact person in the service centre told me that they've found a solution and this issue was only with a few bikes, the "carburetor" was defective, he told me that honda has designed a new carburetor for this kind of vehicle, and he delivered me the bike with a new carburetor,
At first the engine felt smooth but the low end punch was totally missing, the throttle was not much responsive as it used to be.
After a few days, the engine started making hitting sound and the power delivery is jerky [feels like a 3-4 year old 125 cc vehicle].
I feel cheated now because they don't have a proper solution to the problem, if i complain to honda again, they're going to make me agree that my bike is as good as new.

Thought of asking for a total refund or should i approach the consumer court.
                        Please suggest.

How to upload pic or vid here in xbhp? I didnt find it. Also the sound is more pronounced while riding and not while the bike is at a stand still. exactly like the diesel auto trucks..tak.tak.tak.. I feel like the con rod bearings or the balancer is making the sound.

Do let us know what happens.
It was free of charge though, but this bike had manufacturing defects and they were experimenting on my bike to find a solution, playing with the fuel pump for a few days, thinking that was the root cause, finally they told me that the carbouretor is defective.
It is really shameful that such a big brand like honda doesn't care on testing their vehicles properly before selling.
Read my previous message for more information on the same.
