Can we start the bike when it's in gear? I mean when it's not in 'N'. Because I've tried to start a bike in showroom. It didn't get started when it was in 1st gear.

Maybe the clutch switch has gotten disengaged/ruined. It's a 5 min job at the SVC.
          Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Hornet won't start in gear with Kick.
With start button, it will start in any gear.
Probably showroom guys has disengaged it.

            1. How heavy it feels in slow traffic? And how easy it is for a medium built guy for handling it in day to day life?
            2. Mileage should be approx 40 per my understandings, but what do you people are getting out of it?
Experience after 7 month and two service.
I am 5'8"+ and driving bike in heavy traffic with pillion. Didn't get any issue with handling.
Since last few weeks it's raining like Cherapunji in Hyderabad. I didn't felt any skidding or out of control on bike. Bike is well balanced and combi break works beautifully. I guess rear tyre quality plays a big role too.
Bike got super smooth after 2nd service.
Mileage : 43 Kmpl with pillion.

Does Hornet comes with soft tyre or hard one? What's the brand?

It is the mrf zapper series which afaik is a medium compound tyre.

Front 100/80 mrf zapper FY2, i suppose. And rear 140/70 mrf zapper S1

                Cheers,

Guys, mine is a 180 kms run new hornet.
When riding at about 4000rpm at speeds 50-55 km/h on 5th gear i could feel some vibes at my footpegs and handlebar. The vibes are such that its rhythmic to the engine sound/exhaust note.
As someone said the vibes are like sensation of the engine which can be felt on the footpegs and handlebar. Is it normal?
                  Has anyone experienced this?
Hasnt taken her above 4k rpm as she is in running in period. So cant actually tell if its still present above 4k rpm, but below 3.5 k its absent(the vibes/sensation).
                  Please reply.

You don't need to worry about such small things with Honda machines. Just let her complete the run in period and take her to the SVC station and change the oil and oil filter. Issue should get solved. New engine takes a bit of time to get smooth enough.
